Barry Horne was a success IMO. Dave Phillips too, under Peter Jackson they were a great midfield pairing.

The definition of "top players" is being stretched to its limits on here...

We did that routine with Dolly too. Then about 10 years later a PL team did it and the plaudits were everywhere as if nobody had ever done it before.

David Unsworth...he was shocking for Town, including missing a pen at Millwall. Is David Unsworth the most out of shape player to play for Town since 1970? He made Tom Edwards look like a whippet.

Frank Stapleton. Mel Eaves (loan). Kevin Phillips - ohh hang on... A good shout on Stapleton. He wasn't here for long but was excellent. Shame the Bradford City job came up when it did.

How on earth he blagged it I've no idea. But nonetheless an England international From memory: Stuart Pearce had been playing Campbell in the England U21s then, when he was caretaker of the full side, he picked Campbell for his solitary cap.
