Who carries the can for that performance then? If it had been a one off then I could have had a bit more sympathy, but think about the other performances and results.... Walsall, Doncaster, Reading, Northampton, Blackpool, Rotherham, Birmingham. Either the manager isnt up to it, or the players arent. Its one or the other. Duff has the audacity to question the strange atmosphere in the ground.... how many answers does he want to that question, cus he keeps getting them on the pitch. But I guess this will be the fans fault too?
Not that it would have made any difference, but the referee was absolutely dreadful from start to finish, and we put no pressure on at all. The ball was probably only in play for half of the game, they took a minute for every throw in, he just stood watching as they took as much time over everything as they wanted. It genuinely wouldnt have been surprising to see 10 minutes added in the first half and 18-20 in the second half. No way was he stopping his watch every time the ball went out of play. Even the BBC commentator was laughing saying how long they were taking with everything all game. A decent referee of any standard would have clamped down very very early on, hurried them along, and actually allowed a game of football to take place.
Honestly every single one of these players who were here last season, I wouldnt be sorry to see any of them go. Its a shame we couldnt offload them all, but then when you look at the players we bring in, like Ladapo, you have to question whether we should bother signing anyone anyway.
When you think, Tamworth's players have been working a full time job this week, we have allegedly been training and preparing all week. We knew what they were going to offer, yet we showed absolutely nothing to suggest we had any clue for dealing with them. We looked once again like we turned up expecting them to roll out the red carpet and let us win. We didnt seem to show any desire, passion, quality or tactics. Every single one of them should be ashamed of that, but they wont be. As I said before, look at the other performances this season. That tells you they wont be ashamed by it. Just us fuckers that have to sit through this garbage every week.
If Kevin Nagle had even the slightest clue about that game, about where Tamworth are, about them being part time, and the league they are in, he would be spelling it out right now. They wouldnt be on a coach coming back, they would be making their own way and reporting for training at 6 in the morning.
Take nothing away from Tamworth, they deserved to win that, they had golden chances to make it 3 or 4. They did what they needed to do, executed their game plan, that they were all working on, while also doing their full time jobs.

Wow, just wow. It appears that everyone associated with this club is either an absolute chancer or an absolute loser.
Manager is so stubbornly stuck to his formation that he goes with the same rigid 5 defenders and DM against a fucking conference team.
The useless tosser of a DOF still sits smirking in his job despite overseeing possibly the worst group of signings we have ever had.
The owner apparently worth 8 billion is too tight to go out and bring in a proper striker so we end up signing Ladapo who is one of the worst strikers I have ever seen in a town shirt. In this division he could have overhauled the team and given us the same impetus that Birmingham have but instead we are stuck watching Danny Fucking Ward and Ben Wiles embarrass the badge on national television.
I am so livid right now that it's beyond a joke. Every single last one if those associated with this shit show should give their fucking heads a shake.
The manager can fuck off aswell. What a shit boring negative useless ineffective formation he is persisting with. Fuck off and then keep fucking off until we can't see you Duff.
Tossers.

This is why I found it so annoying they had the nerve to call out the fans and atmosphere recently, and for us being 'negative'. THIS IS FUCKING WHY!!! We've consistently had this level of shit thrown at us for far, far too long. In fairness this hadn’t happened at the time they called out the negativity. Are you saying town fans were being negative because we knew we were going to lose to Tamworth?

Embarrassing but no more distractions now. It's all and only about the league and we simply HAVE to deliver

I'm a pretty positive/ glass half merchant but that has to be one of the most hapless, spineless and characterless performances I have seen in 45 years support.
It's not losing matches it's how you lose and that was as inept as I can remember. Coming out of the ground I said to some Tamworth fans they deserved it, and they did.
We didn't cope with the pitch, which is no excuse, and looked heartless and 2nd rate.
You keep hoping that we have turned a corner/stopped the rot and then we get a pitiful effort like this.
I don't boo/berate the team, and didn't tonight but I couldn't criticise anyone who did...and there were plenty. Duff looked physically shaken by the response and he and the players deserved to too.
I realised a few weeks ago that turning the Town tanker around was likely to take longer than we all hoped. Nights like this show how much there is to do. Mr Nagle and his team need to take notice because although anyone can have a bad night this really shows where the club is and how much more is required.
A very bad night. A night when 16/17 seems like a dream that never happened.

Urgency was mentioned a lot by Sutton. The moment this lot play with urgency is when their obvious lack of technical ability becomes glaringly obvious. Slow, plodding football. Oh well.

Are any of the players brought to the club by our present recruitment team likely to be 'wanted' by anyone else in January?? Could we in truth give any of them away free without them having to take a massive drop in wages.. Are any of them, someone we as fans look and hope to see on the teamsheet for the match?? Id say the answer to all the above is no or none.. If your job or part of it was recruitment then you should probably no longer be in it..🤔 No because we keep extending their contracts

The only argument for playing Ladapo was that, since he hasn't a clue what he is doing, the defenders won't know either!!

We are now into November and we have yet to score an equalizer this season.
8 times now we have gone behind and we have lost every game.
Something very very wrong with the mentality of the players.

Every fucking time. It's always us. Always us as the fucking fall guys. Always bottleless, heartless bastards demeaning the shirt. Always someone else running hard and working hard and putting in the graft while those useless morons just let us down. Unprofessional. Unworthy of the badge on their shirt. Year after year after year of going a goal down and folding. Of one way of playing and no plan B. Of second-rate chancers picking the players for the manager. Never any excitement. Just shit day after shit day when highly-paid professionals just roll over and have their tummies tickled. We, as a club, are soft from top to bottom. Soft on the pitch and soft between the ears. No fight. No battle. Just roll over. Decision against us? Just accept it without anger. Go a goal down? That's that game lost. The slightest setback defeats us constantly and it's just embarrassing at this point. That goal should not knock the stuffing out of us the way it did. But every single one of them straight into their shells, hiding, heartless. Duff was shocking tonight. We needed to change shape and, as normal, didn't. I'm sick of modern coaches and their one-track way of playing. Mix it up, change it. Not aided by his options from the bench not having either pace or overall physicality. Thanks, Cartwright. We needed pace and a target man. We have neither because you spent the whole fucking window chasing the unattainable rather than bringing in what we actually needed. We can always hope that this acts as a kick up the backside and provokes some proper introspection and a reaction. I highly doubt it. Too many are happy to feel the wound and use it as an excuse. Tonight should fucking hurt. I don't think it does for those players tonight. They were ambling around until the dying seconds. What we saw in stoppage time should have been from minute one. Take it seriously. Leave it all out there. There's a lot of players who didn't do that. Tamworth were not good enough to beat us unless we were unprofessional. We were unprofessional on so many levels tonight. Lazy. Concentration all over the place. Every one of them should be fined their month's wages and refunds given to every fan there from the proceeds. It's the Fa cup. Its not just us. Top of my head something Paper Mill Factory beat their neighbours Charlton last season at The Valley and Ipswich got beat at Portman Rd to Maidenhead. It happens. But I do agree we are soft and have been for years. Loser mentality and we can't deal with adversity. The last point is the point. Cup or not, we fold in the face of the mildest adversity. We saw it time and again last season. We've seen it this with capitulations. It's a mentality inculcated since the second season in the Premier League. And the players lie down and accept it. The goal shouldn't stand, but do we actually do anything about it? Kick up a fuss? React on the pitch? Neither. Just take it lying down. When things go wrong, we just lie down and let others stomp all over rather than coming out swinging with some fight and heart.

To put tonight’s game into content , Barnet beat Tamworth 7 nill this season. I feel ashamed that we actually deserved to lose that game tonight. What the hell is happening to our great club, we are an absolute embarrassment on the field of play, I get that things off the pitch need to be sorted but on the field we have so many players who are not worthy of wearing a town shirt. Just out of interest do the fans expect to much expecting that we should be beating Tamworth Mr lees . Just pick your wage up and keep plodding along Tom. Disgraceful performance the lot of you.

I was going to say the same - Westport isn’t a bad place to be stuck even watching Town ☘️ It will only be just getting going now as well! I know - I’d have forgotten the Town result in a couple of hours time if I were there 😂🍻

Blindingly obvious the issue tonight.
Tamworth with all the teamwork, belief, trust, enjoyment and togetherness.
Us with none.
That's the real issue.

Shit. Shit. Shit Them and us. They just out shit footballed us. We always go down to the levels of lower league teams we play. Their goal shouldn't have stood. However that shouldn't have meant they won the game. They weren't particularly good. We were just unbelievably shit. We just looked so far off it. No one other than Kane and Miller played like they wanted it. Corners as well. The same thing every fucking time. Just one outswinger please. See what happens. Keeper wouldn't have caught it. NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!!!!

Bojan can get a flight out to Serbia tomorrow from London, £180 one way, didn't bother looking for a round trip as he can stay there. The likes of headley can join him.
I'm not convinced by duff haven't been throughout his management career, you'd have thought managing at Cheltenham would have had him prepped for long ball football but evidently not, we often don't seem prepared for any type of football

36th season watching town That's gotta be the worst/most embarrassing result in that time Am I surprised no we are the gift But from management to players that was an absolute clusterfuck. Duff seams incapable of changing a game in any way.

Pathetic throughout, humiliated live on the telly.
I’d almost refund the ticket/coach trip for everyone who travelled. They’ve all been robbed. Where’s Zanka Claus when you need him?
Duff’s post match reaction says it all, simply not good enough.

Tamworth, part timers were in control of this game . Town were clueless. If Duff had been there why didn't he prepare this group of weak divas to do their job. As always we see a gutless and clueless group of individuals. Does Duff have any idea about psychology or team motivation. Breitenreuter was a joke. Duff seemed better, but the players are lazy. Season ticket a complete waste of money and time.

It all comes down to having too many players that are used to losing. We’re fine when 1 nil up, but when we go down a goal the heads drop! We’ve got a squad full of losers that feel sorry for themselves and they all needed to go last season and we failed to shift them on! We’ve no leadership in the squad and until we do and get rid of the losers it we will keep getting worse. I’m not even optimistic for the summer when we have most out of contract. There can’t be much worse positions to be starting from than having Carthorse doing the business and playing 3-5fucking2.
