Excellent win.. Just watched back the full game of our premier league victory game over them.. What a day.. The energy and passion in our team that day was amazing.. Mooy and Schindler in their pomp.. The kaiser twirling his cap to the south stand.. Will we ever reach those heights again.. š¤·š»āāļøš„² Not in my lifetime .......and I am 18 ! Iām 56.. Never seen us in the big league.. It will probably a story I tell my grandkids.. I was thereā¦ā¦. Depressing thought that it may never happen again.. š¤·š»āāļøš¤·š»āāļø

I wonder if any away fans will turn up? 593 in the away end apparently. Decent turn out, they sang non stop but after the final whistle there was some mouthing it off outside the Riverside trying to start trouble.

I wonder if any away fans will turn up? 593 in the away end apparently. I had a buddy from Honely that was at the match... She was saying in a text that both sets of fans were happily chanting - āWe all hate Leeds scumā at the moment... š Text time was Tue 12-Nov @ 19.49pm... Iāll not tell Lewis next door that little secret ! š

Thats the point really . In hindsight then no, he hasnt made the squad stronger ( from what weve seen so far Id prefer Harrett be given the gamesome or Philips now hes back) But we thought we'd be signing the player who fired Ipswich up out of this division only a year earlier, so yes, I can see how theyd think hed make the squad stronger. Unless there'd been an injury, theres no reason why hed have become a bad player in that time. It was a panicked signing in that we wanted another striker option and the one we thought we were getting fell through with only hours of the window left. We had to move extremely fast and Ladapo was presumably the best they thought they could get in that time. In the circumstances the signing made a lot of sense at that time IMO....it's only now having seen him play a bit that I think it was a mistake ( accepting he wont be match sharp) Iām kind of on the same page in that I thought it made sense at the time, assuming all the work had been done in the background. But, regarding hindsight, thatās the only way the success of a transfer can be judged. If we thought we were signing the player who āfired Ipswich to promotionā why did we think that as opposed to the player who (more recently) was shite and bombed out at Charlton? Assuming that work was done, the club (or an individual, or a group of individuals) has still made a judgement call that it was the former and not the latter, and all the signs are that that call was wrong. Iām afraid you donāt get to call ābad luckā when your job is to get more of these calls right than you get wrong, when most of them look to be wrong. Like any signing, it's a gamble. Could be all sorts of reasons why he wasnt a prolific scorer at Charlton. Might have been carrying a knock..how he was played by the manager..lack of match sharpness having not played up to January for Ipswich...wasnt happy there... Truth is if your having to sign a player whos available on a free in the last hour or two of a transfer window, then chances are it'll be a gamble as to whether hes going to be a success or not.

It was surprisingly one of the most enjoyable games of the season. The players were certainly up for it. I don't understand the criticism for the first half performance and Oggy sounded perplexed on Radio Leeds when Duff said he'd given them short shrift at half time. Yes, Kasumu was excellent and Turton is our best crosser of the ball. I'd be looking to start Healey up front for the next league game. Let's just hope that the ref from the Huddersfield and District League doesn't never refereess us again. Disagree about the first half,I thought duff was spot on.First 15/20 we were slow and sloppy and gave the ball away constantly. We also seemed surprised by how physical their young lads were, some pretty hefty challenges. When Kasumu came on we improved and took over,he dished out a few tackles himself. We then got sloppy again last 10 minutes of the half. Second half completely dominant and at it.Thatās what duff was referring to,the difference in standards for just the basics for 50% of the first half to the second half were very different. Oggy may have been surprised but heās there interviewing him after a win and heās a journalist and despite commentating on it heās not the most football savvy.Itās duffs job to see the things that a laymen doesnāt and Iām glad he does see it. The fact they reacted well to a bollockinh at half time is a good thing though,no sulking. Heās also pointing out about iorpenda that why be selfish and play if youāre ill,do whatās best for the team, was there maybe the same issue with ward at Tamworth? He wants high standards mentally and in doing the basics and he wants honesty. If thatās what heās trying to instill in and amongst the actual tactics and style etc then Iām all for it. I never know what game Oggy is watching. Heās excellent when on the radio, because accuracy doesnāt matter, itās the description that lets you imagine and picture the game formed from your brain. However, when you listen to him commentate the game on TV, heās so inaccurate, he often gets the names of players wrong, his description of the game is very inaccurate that itās laughable, Iām not surprised he was surprised. When Iorpenda went off, Oggy thought it was for a wrist injury ffs.
