Is it basically where the gym used to be? I don't know what any of the stands are called any more. Modern football, eh?

That's what I call them - unfortunately Town's marketing department can't use them any more! Now, if they named a stand after a legendary ex-player or manager, that's different. The "Alan Alan Lee end" has a nice ring to it.

Apart from the "Terriers Together Stand", which is the one I didn't know! Good to know though - I'd completely missed that

FFS, I hate this new modern football taking our sweet, sweet sponsors away. Long live the LV=Brittania Rescue stand.

Seems to me that it would be an ideal place to watch away games for those who can't get there, but there is a little voice in my head saying that you can't do this. Yes, Saturdays at 3 p. m. aren't allowed. Would it be too complicated to start allowing clubs that have sold their away allocation to show the match live? Could be a good venue for sky away games if like me can't get off work for travelling especially London and other southern games.

This has been needed for decades! Right at the stadium too. Should be brilliant. I can see it being rammed. I can't visualise what a venue for 800 looks like but it sounds big and hopefully enough to be able to enjoy without spending the whole time queuing. The food prices seem about right. Not mentioned but hope they do decent coffee too for anyone not fancying beer and a decent range of kids food and drink. hope a decent selection of non alcoholic beer ie Guinness 0.0

Superb stuff Kev. Echo the positive thoughts on the new bar area. Especially in the winter.

At the end of the day soccer is not a working class sport anymore, how many normal working family can afford to go to a 1 off game anymore?. Buy the matchday tickets, then you have the fan zone with it's inflated prices, then you go into the stadium with it's inflated prices, the club shop selling 3 quid hats for 5 times more with the branding of HTFC on it, a jacket for 135 quid?!!, i saw the post where a poster had some in his garage cost him a few quid each!!, then the family sit down and watch dross division 3 soccer thinking my god what is this garbage?!, leave the game probably around with around 100 dollar plus hole in bank account and say never again!!. Promotion or not the season ticket/ card/pass or what ever its called these days will probably rise, then the 100+ page thread will start all over again, if Mr Nagle freezes it again he be a god like he was at announcement for this seasons prices!!, ok a few on this forum stuck to their guns and didn't renew. Soccer is money motivated now managers are 1 tactic only, controlled liked puppets on a string by the CEO, the players even in division 3/4 think they are film stars. The modern day game is on its arse, love to see it in 20 years time but probably won't be around to witness it thank god🙏👍. crowds have never been as high. How do people afford to go if they arent working?

All the beer pumps are from Stoke. Were we tracking them all summer? That’s what they tell us, but we all know they’ve been lined up and in the building over the last week.

The outside fan zone is going to continue by the way
...and for those asking, the entrance is basically what used to be the reception to the swimming pool/gym/sports hall area (to the left of Legends), and is effectively in the area if you go into the stand to the right of that reception, beyond the back end of Legends...

Plum line isnt very good on that brickwork! Presume they'll decorate the place with club memorabilia and old photos.
Well done Kev. Much overdue thing really. The lack of drinking holes around the ground has been an obvious open goal the club could take advantage of for a long time now. Hopefully they'll serve decent ale even if it's just bottles. Like any pub pre-match, speed of service is a key thing when you get a load of punters arriving at more or less the same time.

Yorkshire Post reporting that Cartwright has been in charge of supplies.
"New signing Castlemaine XXXX is the first choice lager. Mark Cartwright said "We've done our homework and XXXX is proven at this level. It will link up well with our other new signings, German internationals Liebfraumilch and Hofmeister"

Is this open to the public other than on matchdays, or is that only for 'bookings'?

I presume it will have Sky etc for the matches to be shown on Saturdays so showing the away ends would make perfect sense. I'd go over to watch with a load of Town fans rather than watching at home or in somewhere local with a load of randomers
