I love Estrella Galicia but binged on Victoria when in Malaga this summer. I love a session on those magnificent 5% Spanish lagers until the next day, when I wake up pale and trembling, questioning my life choices 😁

Both great. Could be unpopular opinion but I loved the 'cream and greeny' one and the yellow Panasonic. I don't know how to attach pics but they were late 90's Pony Green & Cream? Yeah it looked nice apart from the 70s style 10foot wide collar 😂 Edit: realise that looks like I’m taking the piss but I really did like it The 'cream' was officially described as ecru, which until then I'd never heard of. Our lot have an adult or a junior version of all the ones we've mentioned (plus black and red vertical striped Pony and the white one with the black sleeves, Panasonic?) except, disappointingly, the brilliant Millennium one.

Still wear that white with black sleeves one too, material is a bit thin so it’s purely a summer choice though

The natural light and weather suit those styles of beer.. Although the estrella Galicia in bottles is very good.. Sell it in majestic.. 🍻🍻

Was in there from midday. Good venue with big screens to watch the football. Personally not impressed by the food offerings but a good place to socialise before the game and as they check your season cards or match tickets, it won’t be infiltrated by away supporters. WiFi worked ok. Finally, it was great that players and staff were circulating including the interview with Lee Nicholls.

Long queues to get in at 1400 so gave it a miss.Small queue for Legends so joined that only to be bellowed at by a harridan of a steward cos we were blocking the hole in the wall. The charm school course certainly had been wasted on that one! Went in at full time ,no queues at the bar and passed 20 mins while the traffic got away.First impressions were good and will be back again as we have missed a post match venue since we were kicked out of the Bradley Mills cricket club by the doggers. Agree with Overton about the food offer, look poor, and that is being polite. UTT

Shame some of the latecomers couldn't get in.I Understand capacity was limited to 500 yesterday on advice of safety officer to see how much space there was.Plenty of room , so hopefully will be full capacity next time. One of our group was late so couldn't get in.Maybe as it was the opening day and really bad weather there were some in there who normally wouldn't bother. Service wise they kept the queues down , never more than a couple of people waiting in each queue

Or maybe they kept the entrance queues long as an advertising ploy? 😉🤔

Seemed like a lot of people couldn't get in and didn't fancy queuing in the rain. Loads of extra room inside though. Service was superb, amazingly quick to get served and all staff seemed efficient, happy and friendly.
Good to have food pre prepared but hopefully some better options in future. Burger and chips, bacon sarnie etc. Most of the options looked difficult to eat whilst stood up with a pint in one hand!
Not sure why the barriers were at the bar, hopefully get rid of those next time. Unnecessary.
Also are they building some toilets?! Hope so!

Since when was Carling available at 4.6% ?? Never been more than 4.1% from my recollection, other than the lovely Carling Premier, which was 5% IIRC. I’m always willing to be wrong. And yes, I thought that too. However I read here (could be incorrect tbf): creativepool.com/magazine/features/how-a-fake-beer-brand-took-over-uk-pubs.31204And then this guy also referenced Carling/Madri: wb.camra.org.uk/2023/09/30/does-cask-need-the-madri-effectPretty interesting, I suppose it’s all broadly the same considering how few ingredients you have to play with… There’s also a Carling ‘Premier’ which is 4.7% incidentally. Anyway, we digress. Hope this new bar/venue is a huge success for the club. It’s all positive as far as I’m concerned. UTT I live near Tadcaster where John Smiths / Mokson Coors are based and known quite a few that work there including somebody in the sales and marketing side He told me in the very early days that Madri was a master class of marketing and was actually just a "blend" of the largers they already brewed. But would not tell me which ones.

How does H Town work as a concourse for the lower tier in that side?
I think if there was a way to get rid of those seats and create safe standing with a roof over the top (like the old Cowshed) that it could work really well and be a little cauldron of noise for us.
No idea if there are plans for this but think it could work really well.

I stood on the back row through every game for about 3 seasons prior to the South Stand opening up to home fans, and didn't get rained on or asked to sit a single time. I think only front 3-5 rows or so typically got exposed when it was really windy with the rain. Its probably actually the best stand to watch the game from if you like being close to the action, its the closest stand to a goal.

I’ve never been in there, but think if they can get it right, this could appeal to a lot of people, especially if tickets were cheaper/same price as now and prices rise in other areas. Presumed everyone got soaked in that stand, so thanks for that 👍

Been in a few times and I agree with you, great view of the action.

I was also on the back row in there for 3 or 4 seasons before moving into the upper tier. When it's windy even the first 10+ rows in the upper tier get soaked.
