Very impressed, good selection of alcohol, didn’t try any of the food but looks nice, only downside I have is the toilets are in the men changing room (ex room)

Very similar vibe to Magic Rock. Sadly the beer is just the same as you get in the stadium, so for me, pretty shite. They will be showing the live lunchtime kickoffs though on the numerous screens.
Additionally Hoggy was hilarious tonight.
Q. So when Town needed a win and a draw in the 1st premier league season with Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal to play what did you think?
A. Yeah, piece of piss wasn't it? And then after the Chelsea game we just tossed it off against Arsenal.

A very interesting thing i wasn’t aware of is it will be opened up at half time for that shit stand behind the goal.
I suspect on the freezing cold days some might be tempted to stay in there and watch the second half in the warm.

Anyone know if they've got TNT sports as well as Sky? Would be good to know which early kick off they'll be showing - Prem or Champ

Been to the launch night . First thoughts ... Bigger than the club photos made it look , and pretty smart . Plenty TVs dotted around the place and will be showing the live games. 2 bars with plenty of staff serving , dont think there will be a problem getting served. Food was ok , not worth the £8.50 for the hot dog . hopefully the bigger match day menu will be better. For me its a winner , and definitely will be our pre match watering hole from now on. All sounds pretty awesome indeed... Simply cannot wait now to sample it all a fortnight tonight v Wigan Athletic ! Counting down the days - 14.... 🍺 🥃 🍺

How much are the pints? If they're the same as on the concourses (£5.50/£6.00) then I'll give it a miss.

Just a Heineken bar by the sounds so I won’t be venturing in…not the cost, just the choice, BUT I’m sure it’ll be successful and busy on the first day…looks a great facility but doesn’t tick any boxes on a personal level. Good effort though.

Not a dig at you at all, just an observation that makes me chuckle. I've lived away from Huddersfield and Yorkshire for over a decade now and it always gives me a wry smile to see people complaining about prices. Saw someone on a Facebook page complaining that a burger and chips meal was £6.99 at a fast food restaurant in the Pack Horse. That wouldn't get you a pint in a lot of places nowadays!

Does anyone know if they serve decent coffee? It will be beer for me usually but nice to be able to get a decent coffee on occasion. The Costa is always rammed pre match.

As well as serving the same poor quality and selection of beer as they do in the ground at the same inflated prices it appears they also use plastic cups and have single file queuing system going on. Hope people are able to enjoy it and that it's a success but personally will be staying in town pre match for the reasons above.

I went along last night as well. It’s a vast improvement on anything we’ve had before.
It has a bar at either end and even on opening the queues moved quickly. The usual suspects at the usual football ground prices, a pint of Moretti and a Guinness 0.0 came to £12.20. They had food on as well and the plan is to offer food both pre and post match but the menus should be different as so to offer some variety. I think they say it will open from 12pm and close at 8pm on Saturdays and they’ll be showing games. They have one big screen(think media wall) and 2 to 3 smaller screens at either end. It could do with more though as some places are obscured by supporting pillars. It maybe just needs another 4 screens and then everyone will have a view of the screens. By the sound of it they’ll be showing the Orient Town game next Tuesday as well but they weren’t 100% on that.
Overall first impression is very good and I’m sure it’ll be well supported

Looks good but why plastic cups especially on a non match day? Big turn off for me in bars is that, especially when it costs £6+

Looks good but why plastic cups especially on a non match day? Big turn off for me in bars is that, especially when it costs £6+ Plastic cups will be a huge turn off. If I'm drinking in a bar I expect a glass. It's not a proper bar if the cups are plastic. No doubt some health and safety crack pot has been listened to instead of being told to stop being so silly. Re single file queuing I was reading an article recently which suggested gen Z might be to blame as they don't know how to get served at a bar! You see this in lord Wilson, one person starts it and before long you have an empty bar but a queue running half way through the pub. Absolute madness!! It's a strange phenomenon, can't help but notice that younger folk can't cross the road without waiting for the green man too. Similar thing maybe. Maybe they think they're American or have we stopped teaching the green cross code?!

A friend told me the Bristol city pizza bar serves drinks in plastic cups incase it kicked off. Yet if you sit in and eat pizza you get your pint in a glass

Used to be glasses in Ropewalk up to a time in the day and then they'd switch to the plastic ones. Suppose it might be down to logistics, rather than having a glass collector and pot washer they can just chuck the cups away once they've been used. I think they'll hide behind it being a safety issue but this bar is going to be home fans only. So doesn't say much about us as fans if the Club can't trust us not to glass one another!
Sounds like mainly positive feedback so far though.
Personally will still stay in Town pre-match for drinking for a few reasons but I don't think I was the target audience anyway.

I'm sure this will be up for review in the medium term (along with the full gamut of Stadium supplier arrangements as existing contracts come to an end). The array of matchday beer options seems to run right to the core of the 'product' KN is putting out in Sacramento. It'll do for now as they get it up and running... (PS - Mine's a pint of Landlord in a glass for any club staff reading )

A very interesting thing i wasn’t aware of is it will be opened up at half time for that shit stand behind the goal. I suspect on the freezing cold days some might be tempted to stay in there and watch the second half in the warm. Back in the early days there used to be TV's all along behind the Kilner and Riverside Stand (probably not the South Stand given it was all away fans) - and then one season they disappeared. I think they showed Sky Sports News rather than footage from the game (I guess there wasnt routinely the cameras with the relevant technology in place back then) - it would be interesting to see that function return across other stands, it could make the whole half-time queueing scenario far less painful - today people start to leave with 5-10mins before half-time, and then if something 'exciting' happens end up pausing and being a pain to those who are staying at their seats (I've had one guy just stand still right in front of me for close on a minute whilst he was passing where I was stood to let him pass!!) - if the game is covered behind the stands, those who can't go 90mins without a drink might be more inclined to quickly leave the stand and get in the queue where they can still keep an eye on the game??
