4 really good young Centre Backs at the club in REG, Cricklow, Olagunju & Ayina.
If 2 of them can make it into First team regulars in the next few season, that would be brilliant
David Adewoju had an excellent first season with the Academy last season, so be interesting to see how he kicks on this season and if any more come to the fore.

Good loans if they get game time

It's be good for Daly to get out on a full season loan and play a lot this coming season. So fingers crossed for him
He'll be 21 by the time the season ends, and with some of the other young Midfielders coming through the Academy he needs to show he has what it takes or those youngsters will take his place in the squad.
A strong season on load could really kick start his career

Harratt, Headley, Olagunju, Obiero & Chapman all losing the numbers they had last season. No number for Diarra either.
Not sure what to read into any of that.

Greater squad depth than last season.
More additions to come perhaps.
Harratt seemed to stall last season. Non league loan would probably do him good.
I don't think Headley has got anywhere near the 1st team yet, so non league loan would be good
Olagungu probable looking to loan out for the season to build on his Port Vale Loan. L1 or L2 club.
Obiero probable looking for another season long loan. Maybe non league as he didn't really get a look in at Carlisle
Chapman, someone mentioned a loan earlier in the week.
Brahima's not ready for the first team yet. A loan move would be good for him. If they do loan him out be interesting to see at what level. Non league or L2.

Bellagambi taking Pat Jones' number as well. I don't think it's an exhaustive list on the website though as all the youth team players have their own squad numbers not listed on the site in the 40s-80s range. You can see it on their gear in some of the training videos.

Diarra wore number 40 on his shirt when he made his debut against Bournmouth & Ayina had 46 on his shirt when he was on the bench for the FA Cup. However, the numbers on their training gear / coats etc were 93 & 95 or something like that. Any of the players not named with a squad number will be given a number if they are named in the match day squad.

They must rate Myles Bright to give him a 3 year contract (plus one year option) at aged 18 as his first professional contract!

From what I've seen of him (admittedly YouTube, although there was a full game included) he looks like one who could step up.

There was a COVID outbreak at the academy this week. Affected 5-6 players who had to go into isolation. Can put 2+2 together to see who it was based on who wasn’t in the squad today

Any ideas who the trialist keeper might have been today?

Tadcaster changed their whole 11 for the second half so difficult to compare our second half performance to the first half.

No, I didn't even know they were playing, I read the report on the OS this morning

Talented player but needs to cut that out of his game if he's going to make it. Totally needless, especially in a friendly.
