U21s got a royal spanking today
Is that why we lost? Did Her Majesty do the spanking herself? I knew that 50 Shades film would cause trouble!

Jacob 'Jabba' Hanson has signed his first professional contract. Right back who seemingly loves to get forward!

Holmes again impressing. All the excitement about him seems to have dissipated. Wonder why he's never really made an impact in first team?

Looking at the lack of mobility at the back, is this actually the player who should be fast tracked, and I mean now!? NB- I think Pyke was on the same train as me back to Leeds and his frame certainly doesn't fit the archetypal Town junior.

No he's a big lad is Pyke! Hard to say really re Hanson for what I've seen of him he has everything due to the fact he's played up top as well as at right back or centre back. Pace and attack minded although is a good defender if he was going to play any part soon it would be a right back for me.

Just seen the highlights, a very young team bossing the game.

Holmes had a good game by the looks of it. Could have been 1-8.

Holmes looks shit hot from the highlights. Should be on first team bench IMO.

Holmes looks shit hot from the highlights. Should be on first team bench IMO. Was thinking the same - his lack of physique, and our lack of movement is probably the reason why he's not made the transition again. Also, young Jack Boyle is starting to look like a quality little player as well - he's only 17 or so as well, quality technique.

What do we think of Pyke? Only 17 years old and already impressing in the 21s could become a really good player.

Not sure if it is the camera angle or what (not criticizing the camera operator here because I really enjoy these videos and watching the games) but is it me or do most of the Town players look very slight in height and build?

Not sure Billing is still 6'4" looks to have grown a bit, Duane looks about 5'5" and Jack Boyle similar though slightly heavier build. William Boyle and Allinson are over 6' the rest I'd say averaging between 5'9" and 6'0" Bear in mind some are only 1st year scholars and plenty of growing time left. I doubt apart from Duane any are going to be held back physically.

Good point regarding still growing. Billings, fer shure, I never have a problem identifying.

It's about time the academy produced some decent talent which are capable of reaching and holding down a place in the first team. Can anyone give me any names of ex academy players who have actually done much with their careers to date? - I'd also be interested to know what Ross Wilson's successes have been since he arrived during August 2012, because I can't think of many.

Time will tell, at the moment we have a very good bunch of youngsters with a few U18s holding down places in the U21s. Patience required. Or, Ross Wilson was a waste of space and a wage, and that's really what you want to hear I think. ;D

Absolutely regarding past experiences, and there are no guarantees. A lot of clubs in the Championship wIll have a Ross Wilson and their share of success and failure. All I can say is the current batch are showing a heck of a lot of promise as results show. Time for another pint. UTT

Interesting interview with Sondre Tronstad. Talks about settling down in Huddersfield. www.examiner.co.uk/sport/football/news/norwegian-youngster-sondre-tronstad-living-8942774More interestingly however he recommends three Norwegians Town should look at: Iver Fossum, Kasper Skaanes and Bard Finne (first two featured in following video). If we are in fact scouting Scandinavia, hopefully we'll have a dabble this summer as there seems to be some good talents coming from Norway etc. (Odegaard at Real Madrid the prime example). Can any Scandinavian Terriers vouch for these guys?
