agree with you both above, the fact oscar gobern has been in contention since christmas does not make for good reading for the likes of billing and tronstad

Looking at that part of me thinks Holmes could really shine in an attacking team that plays quick passing football and is willing to give youngsters a try.

Boyle looks a player. Him and Booty look very promising.

4th game in a row today that the U21s will all be actually under 21. Some very impressive performances for such a young team.
Agree that next season there needs to be much better use of the loan system with regards to giving them game time.

With Hogg out of the Easter games, I'm a bit surprised to see Billing, Tronstadt and Holmes all starting. Would have thought at least one would be on the bench tomorrow.

And that's the problem Powell would rather use Edgar in there and giving one of them lads a game. Poor it really is as Edgar is gash.

Means we're going to have to suffer Edgar Billing off after 50 mins so an outside chance he mite be involved tomorrow Billing could probably have been off three times in the first half. Sent off. Same could be said for a couple of theirs. The referee was lenient as fook. Their no.6 cleaned someone out and he had a chat with the lad and his captain, would have been a straight red in the real world, didn't even book him. As I said, Billing had two or three shockers too, and one of our lot stamped down the leg of their keeper 2nd half too. They were quite physical to be fair so it was nice to see our lot respond, but a lot of that wouldn't be allowed on a Saturday.

:s Really? A few late tackles knocking about on a slick pitch buts that's about it, I didn't see any malicious tackles. I thought the ref was quite good, a bit lenient to Town with the time wasting at the end.

Bit of a synopsis for those who couldn't make the game: A good turn out to watch and were rewarded with a win against a high flying Forest team. Both fielded young sides with all HTFC players u21 including 9 teenagers, I think the Forest team were similar. Early on both teams battled to gain the upper hand and Town took an early lead. Jack Senior with a good in swinging delivery and Wilkinsons header sneaked into the corner. The second came from a breakaway. Tronstadt found Pyke with a great pass who brought Duane Holmes into play, he played a simple through ball for Bojan who took his chance we'll slotting the ball under the keeper. Forest had plenty of possession without creating much threat apart from some well delivered corners but these were defended well enough if not well. Pyke caused the defence plenty of problems not give ing them a minutes rest. Reminds me of Vaughan the way he puts himself about and acts a nuisance. Second half was poor with little quality and neither team creating much. Forest grew in confidence towards the game but Huddersfield stood firm with Wilkinson and Kane both battling well with all that was thrown their way and a very physical number 9. After the ball wasn't cleared properly after a forest set piece, despite a couple of opportunities to do so, a good cross from Jorge Grant was finished at the back post. The remaining few minutes were seen out professionaly by huddersfield. A good battling performance from Town, by no means a technical masterclass but all players gave everything for the points. My MOM was Jack Senior, other good performers were Pyke, Wilkinson & Kane. But dissapointed with Biling & Tronstadt who are normally top performers.

I thought the officials had a very good game for what it's worth. Could do with some of that quality refereeing at first team level.
