At Leeds road most of the catering 'outlets' were at the back of the terraces,so you could watch the game while you queued....I used to work in one so I could get free entry and watch the game while telling the customers to shove off...!
Seriously, couldn't they somehow situate some outlets where some of the many empty seats are...instead of being stuck under the concourse staring at concrete walls (not even a TV behind the counter to watch while you wait..)

Yes you're right. I was trying to remember if this was the case, but I vaguely recalled buying twixes etc at the bottom of the stairs just after the turnstiles. Thinking about it, I used to run off down to the loo just before half time, then would get back to join a mate in your queue to give money and carry some of the, erm, Bovril (?!that's all I ever remember buying I think?!) back to our group of 6 or so... whilst other folk tried to find what letter meant what other game on the halftime scoreboard!

Ha ha...them were the days ! I was lucky as my wooden hut (the catering outlet...) was at the back of the open end..so had a great view of the game... You'd think tho', that on the wall by the outlets in the JSS they could stick a TV up there ...and not just them skoddy little 22" ones, get some 48" screens put up ffs ! it is the 21st century....and that Kilner concourse is like something out of the 2nd world war....why can't the plebs have a bit of luxury for a change..? (I know that's KSDL by the way)...

The old tellys were much better than these tiny little flat screens they screwed flat to the wall fairly recently, the original Panasonic ones used to point down the concourse giving a view to much more people and meaning you didn't get hoards of people stood underneath them disrupting the flow of people. KSDL do seem utterly clueless in these matters, anyone with half a brain would have spec'd larger TVs on brackets which were capable of angling to the correct viewing angle. You shouldn't need to be stood directly opposite to them to see them!

Football clubs have a worse class system than than in real life ...you got the money you get all the trappings...I'm surprised we've even got toilets and not just a running drain in the concourse... (must stop being bolshy...)

We don't have any tellies in the NSL, and I honestly cant say it ever occurred to me that we needed them.
We've got some folk longing for the catering outlets of the old ground, Bovril, pies and little else, and some fans complaining because the TVs in the concourse aren't good enough.
Lots of issues to address.

Long and short of it is that if you don't have to queue for so long, you wouldn't need a telly, but...........

Normally I don't both with food and drink at the match. Poor value and poor quality are the reasons. However after being late out of work and traffic on the M621 and m62 I got into the ground 2'mins before KO. Starving hungry I bought a burger and chips and a bovril drink in the FML stand. £8.50. The burger was vile. Completely tasteless. The chips came as quite a big portion, unfortunately they were only half cooked. How is it possible to undercook chips. The whole lot made a surprise reappearance at 3 am. Never again.

No draught beer at the end bar in the Kilner last night, someone had forgot to turn on the fridge or summat. On the plus side the workers seemed vaguely human and were able to talk and understand basic instructions.

Direct golf lower today I was queuing for a bovril, the lady in front got 3 hot dogs and the guy couldn't even get them in the bread rolls right and no amount of poking with his"un-gloved" finger could entice the semi firm sausage into the slot in the soft bread. He even struggled to get it to fit in when it split into 4 and he only put 3 pieces in, then he couldn't get any of them in the right sized bag one in a sack one in a 10p mix bag and one somewhere in between. And we pay over the odds for that service he could of been scratching his arse on his way for all we know

Went to the catering 'outlet' at the north end of the Kilner yesterday for 2 chicken balti pies ...sold out. So we bought the hot dogs, same problem as above, the lad couldn't get the 'dog' in the bread without ripping the bread to bits...we then walked over to the other side of the concourse for the tomato sauce dispenser, pulled the hot dogs out of the bags and they just crumbled into a mass onto the floor...so chucked them in the bin.
When we turned round to have a moan at the 'outlet' the shutters were already down.

NS Upper. Hot dogs were bigger and better, but obviously they ran out just after half time whistle.

I was just waiting to get a bovril yesterday to thaw myself out. Only 4 in front of me, the speed they serve is like slow motion.

Maybe they will respond by launching a hotdog loyalty card ? Sent from my HTC One mini 2 using proboards

Sodexo at the John Smith’s Stadium are pleased introduce themselves on Down at the Mac. This will be a great platform to inform you of new changes, future plans and for you the fans, to submit constructive feedback / suggestions for improvement. We are a relatively new team at the stadium and really want to improve the entire match day catering service. We are positive with your assistance we can make the John Smith’s Stadium the best in The Football League. Sodexo Team So...a month gone. Any new changes or future plans to announce yet?

A few lessons in basic hygene wouldn't go amiss...the lad who served up that mess of ahot dog was also handling cash without any gloves on....Sodexo doesn't seem to be any different to what we had before. They wouldn't put up with this in the executive areas would they...but it's okay for the riffraff...so it seems.

As suspected not a single improvement made and no reply to any of the issues mentioned. What we did get was an exclusive on the pie loyalty card. As most suspected seems this thread is a total waste of time. They're sh1t and they know they are and that seems to be just fine with them.
It would be interesting to know if the Sodexo rep has bothered reading any of the responses or even bothered logging in since the pie loyalty card revelation. Admins - can you enlighten us?

I wouldn't bother paying up to £4 for a 'pie' down at the ground. Awful.
Instead tmrw for tea pre match a beer AND a Chilli dog = £6.49. Bargain!

It would be interesting to know if the Sodexo rep has bothered reading any of the responses or even bothered logging in since the pie loyalty card revelation. Admins - can you enlighten us? As you will see from my other posts on this thread, I made some suggestions regards disabled supporters being able to pre-order hot drinks and food as they go into the stadium and for the order then to be brought to them at half time. On Saturday, I was approached by the young lad serving from the food trolley at the North end of the Revel Ward stand at approx 2.45 asking if I would like to order something for half time. I was pleasantly surprised that indeed Sodexho had listened and in fact were actually trying to implement the suggestion and to help make things run a little smoother for some fans at least. I asked how he thought it had been received and the response was that there were a few people who had taken up the offer. The only problem that I could see was that the lad serving was on his own thereby meaning he had to have the orders prepared, delivered and then be back before the half time whistle so that he could be ready to serve everyone who usually uses the food cart at half time. I know It will take time but at least small steps have been taken. I would still like some timescales from Sodexho in terms of when they will commit to respond to the many issues that have been raised on this thread.
