Sounds like the same old Town and same old frailties. Wagner needs time but if we continually make the same mistakes, on the pitch and at club level, it won't make a jot of difference who is in charge. Anyway, it's a little disappointing considering we took the lead and sound to played okish. Kin hell Ar! You've stayed onside for less than 90 minutes. You really are a difficult man to please. |

You think we have problems, Real Madrid 3~0 down to Barcelona, the 3rd goal from Iniesta was superb. Then on about 65 minutes, Barcelona bring on their sub, a decent little promising player by the name of Lionel Messi, final score in the El Classico 4~0 !

As a rule I don't comment on games if I've not attended, but, IMO, the fact that Town dominated possession gives some encouragement. I know possession doesn't compensate for yet another loss, but I take heart from it. How often have Town dominated possession in games this season before today? Hardly ever! Small steps and all that.....

Just seen the goals. All 3 down Smiths side. 3rd goal he is too busy with his hand in the air claiming offside. Don't want to knock the lad but Cranie Hudson and Lynch and Chilwell /dempsey has to be the way forward.

I am onside but it just seems the same old frailties that cost us again. Just seen the goals, Hudson was turned inside out for the first 2, the third one no closing down. For Scannell's goal it was actually nice to see us hitting a cross into the danger area to hurt the opposition and not fannying about over passing it. |

Completely ignore Hogg and Hudson missing tackles for the first, or it being Hudson's man for the 2nd and Murphy with a very average parry and then taking ages to get to his feet, or the fact they had a 3 on 2 for the last so he couldn't commit. Whilst he perhaps could have done a bit more for the 3rd, but not a great deal, the 1st and 2nd had absolutely nohing to do with him. Had Cranie been at right back no doubt it wouldn't have been his fault. Some people just seem to have it in for Smith. |

Some people just seem to have it in for Smith. thought smith did OK tbh.. the whole team faded after 75m cos they ain't fit enough! how does a pro get cramp in Nov? disgraceful! stay patient guys.... this is a work in progress. Wed are top 8 and they were no better for 75mins. the fitness thing will be addressed and if dean backs him and he's any good there is a lot to look fwd to. the team at least looked organised today......it now needs a bit of luck and effort from everybody and we have a lot to look fwd to - we gave it a go today and fell short. no issues. .....against Burnley we didn't and still lost! give this man at least 3m to make a difference......new cb....new fb.....new striker and we will be looking up not down. |

There's no future in him, I'm afraid. Fair do's I wasn't there and have only seen them on tv. Forestieri just appears to get down that side easily for goals 1 and 2. Sounds like Hudson wasn't great though. I suppose Powell making him captain made him undroppable but new man new eyes maybe Wagner will see he is too slow? |

I was happy in the pub when we were winning 1-0 10 minutes later I saw that we were losing 3-1 I think our new style of play caused us to tire in the latter stages. |

Whitehead and centre half both could have gone. Forestieri should have gone for what looked like a two footed lunge on Murphy. Interesting that we committed 15 fouls to your 12 even though the ref missed 2/3 clear free kicks for us and was very lenient when a number of your players lost the ball and threw themselves to the floor. You are confusing being dirty with closing down. We now try to win the ball back quickly and press other teams. Hence why we had about 2/3 of the ball before we were knackered. Pipe down bitch |

I went today and this is my take on it without reading anybody else's posts. Thought we were the better team for 70 mins and had Huws scores at 1-0 (great save by the way) we may have gone on to get at least a point.The last 20 mins were disappointing, giving the ball away and generally sloppy, we looked tired , and once wendies scored I feared the worst. I still feel that were 2 signings away from a decent side, a centre half and centre forward and we will be ok .Early days for Wagner, I'm sure he will have learned from today. UTT.

Not got time to wade through 12 pages so I may just be repeating what others have said. First game I've been able to get to for a while. I quite liked Powell but if there was a major difference of opinion regarding bringing youth through etc then he had to move on, water under the bridge etc. However I'm not going to go off on one just because we lost today under the new regime. If there is a major sea change in how we are going about things then it will take time (and in some cases a change in personnel) to make it work.
Not much in it first half, nether keeper having a lot to do and I didn't think Hudson had that bad a first 45 mins, came over and made some good interceptions when they made inroads down our left side. However he showed his more typical lack of mobility as the game progressed and ultimately I can see him getting dropped if we are going for this high pressing type game.Wasn't bothered about Davidson being left out (or may be injured, not checked)and thought Dempsey made a decent job in an unfamiliar role, got some good crosses in including the one we scored from. The ball ran for them for their equaliser though we could have done better defensively and the third was just being caught on the break pushing for an equaliser ourself. I thought Wells was poor, bullied out of it by stronger defenders and no real threat. We visibly ran out of steam and it cost us, these lads won't acquire that workrate fitness after a session in Spain, going to take time. We still desperately need a clinical finisher who can stay fit so hopefully this is priority for Jan window, but they don't grow on trees so have to see what we can afford. If we can keep up how we played first half hour of second half for a full game AND take our chances better with a good striker we will be heading back up the table but Rome wasn't built in a day. There were positives to take away from this game.
