Just seen the goals. All 3 down Smiths side. 3rd goal he is too busy with his hand in the air claiming offside. Don't want to knock the lad but Cranie Hudson and Lynch and Chilwell /dempsey has to be the way forward. Whilst I agree about the third one, it was more Hudson at fault for the first two than Smith. There's no future in him, I'm afraid. I may have alluded to this 'clear and present danger' before.. swapped one stay at home and try and cut it out at the last second centre half, for another.. Its just all about 'being there' rather than doing very much.. The rest was a decent effort from the team rather spoiled by a lack of any real quality when it was needed.. we dont lack the actual quality required at vital moments but we just didnt produce any.. |

By the way, what was Smith doing for that last goal? My lad's U12's wouldn't get caught being as naive as that. Stopping to appeal whilst the man and ball are still active... dear me! |

2 rebounds in our penalty box for two goals - players turning their backs when blocking a shot (why ?) ..but losing the ball further up field - instead of passing it around...we looked bunched at times although only a short clip so hard to judge to be fair...the other thing from the clip is not getting close enough to the man with the ball..running at him then stopping 5 yards away isn't closing down in my book. Anyway,looked a lot better than some i've seen this season...and at least wagner has seen the precise problems we've had for several years now and successive managers have failed to address.
