At least he has pace, something we have been short of and should allow us to stretch the game and stop teams pressing us high.

A little less conversation and a little more action required in this transfer window

Just heard about this signing...i was "all shook up" and thought "thats alright". Lets hope its not a quick case of "return to sender". Next time you "just hear" read back the thread to save yourself the embarrassment of re-repeating a load of page 1 puns oaty. So is this signing another "one for no money......... ....."?

Odds on Leeds fans claiming we've only signed him to annoy them because his name is a bit like their massive rivals? Did I miss the bit about us signing Bobby Guiseley?

If we think we've signed a guy with plenty of pun potential, think of Charlton...
They've signed Rod Fanni!

The levels of vitriol on this thread gives credence to an earlier suggestion by Oti (on another thread) that football is mass mind control.... here we are trading angry insults whilst the illumanati serpent cult tightens its evil grip on us all. As far as I'm concerned, I've just been outside for a big herbal cigarette and I come back to find we've signed an unpredictable forward who's shit-off-a-stick and called Elvis....brilliant!

The report from brighton fan says hes very quick but offside most times. Haha That fan can't get to many games then. Very quick? I haven't witnessed it. Put it this way he cost us over 1.5 million in the summer and doesn't get a look in. Poor signing.I don't rate him one bit. You wait.

When i saw it was a 4 page thread i decided to give it a miss. Today has been my busiest for a year...eating my tea as i write. I always imagined Otium would have supper, not tea. Disappointed. Next, we will be told he cooked it himself and ate from the Pan, rather than it being prepared by his butler and served on fine bone China plates, perhaps on an antique wooden tray. Where is the world I thought I knew....?!!!

I rarely cook and have eaten out all my life but just now i am somewhat housebound and eating at home a lot. Must go...time for eggs and smoked salmon. I promise it will be served on a plate, sat to a table, me still in the stolen, hotel dressing gown!

Beat me to it. What part of DW's "when it became clear that our targets were not available in this window, we moved down a different road to help for the rest of the season" is so hard to understand to some on here its impossible but then again they dont want too.

He could, just could, be your cult player of the year. Incredible pace, can easily beat his man . . . and . . . and, well if the goal stretched from corner flag to corner flag he might hit the target. He will give the linesman a bout of repetitive strain syndrome from flagging offside every time he gets the ball. When he does burst forward he's like a rhino on heat . . . . well that's about it really. Enjoy the moment 'cos that's all you're going to get with Elvis, apart from the songs. " He's caught in a trap, he can't let go, cos he's offside baby, we can't go on together with suspicious minds . . ". Sorry! We've got a coach who'll sort him out, I'm looking forward to it..... lets hope bunn and lolley learn to get there heads up and release the ball at the right time instead of running in to blind alleys

Glad to hear you are well enough to tuck into the old smoked salmon - be careful with the gout though!!
