A nice start to the game. 25 mins in, pace slowed to the play off final pace. Bit of quality from Mooy. Then not much from the toon. Town are not the finished product. Still a race to 40 points for me. 6 points 2 clean sheets. Unbelievable

With Newcastle coming forward, the gaps are going to start to open up now. Might like to see Billing come off for Williams, too - haven't noticed him at all today. Good game from Billing. Very disciplined position wise.

Schindler MOTM by a mile for me, he was everywhere!! Absolutely, but Sky have it in their heads that Mooy is the best player we have and have to reinforce this with their own biased commentary and opinions. Now Mooy was great today, but Schindler had his best game in a Town shirt and if the numbskull pundits couldn't see that... well that doesn't surprise me.

What a prick Souness is!. Apart from our goal he was turning his nose up at the rest of ours and Newcastles performance, which just shows that if you ain't a top six club you ain't worth a toss. Well done Town you can't ask for better than 6 out of 6 pts. Piss off Souness UTT

Great to see Heff come on and be part of it.
Stunning from Mooy, Schindler and Lossl with Loewe up there as well. His covering across and behind has reached new heights - or lows in his case with those sliding blocks.
Great options we have now with those players rotating behind Mounie.
According to my mate a shambles getting in to the ground with a lot of the bar code readers having problems. He nearly missed the kick off.

Very weak performance from Newcastle, no urgency when a goal behind. Rafa has it all to do with his threadbare squad probably not the smartest move to complain about lack of signings, doubt it motivated the ones that he wants to replace. Ritchie and Gayle to failing to score would have been disappointing. Shelvey was very quiet I understood it was viewed as an opportunity to pick up some points (against little old Huddersfield). worrying times indeed... Sh*t sandwich for Rafa I thought Palace were better than Newcastle, but only just.

Lowe.. motm... 3 pieces of top class reading the game/covering defensive work...
plenty for us to work on, we actually created any danger that Newcastle posed..
Winning with best moment of the match was sweet after last seasons game being decided by cheating and poor officials..
not sure how we got 3 bookings.. only daft incident was Tommy flinging himself at one and he missed and wasnt booked?
gayle managed to do nothing but still had a couple of dives..
We didnt click often or long enough but Dave will be honest and that way we wont get too big time..,
6 points is great. no goals against is 'gravy'....

Probably getting ahead of myself here, but I can see both Schindler and Löwe providing 50% of the German defence in Russia next year. Would be nice to see Heff there as well, just needs to speed up a bit

Brilliant goal by Mooy. Shout out for the defence though - Zanka not as composed but Lowe/Smith excellent while Schindler was colossal. Lossl looks to be a top keeper as well. Thought Smith was poor again today and made a stupid lunge which would have been a straight red if he had connected. Needs to regain his composure.

Gwaan Town...6 out of 6 and no goals conceded, legendary stuff.
My only gripe today is that we didn't score a few more and that we didn'the keep the ball as well as we should have at key times causing ourselves problems bit I guess we will learn that.
Superb move for the goal and we got stuck in and worked hard. I'm chuffed to bits, plenty of time to catch Man Utd lads don't worry.

What a genius DW is in recognising and bringing on players like that. Hope he scouts a few more like him.

I get the feeling that against better sides we will get punished during them spells of nervy, ponderous possession that marred the 1st half. But so many positives: the move and shot for Mooy's tidy goal, Loewe's inch perfect last ditch tackle, and the godlike Schindler on the ascendant. It is a fucking great time to be a Town fan!

I thought we just about deserved to win a tight game against a Newcastle side who actually attacked more than I thought they would. We started quite well and dominated the start of the first half, but Newcastle got to grips with our attacking players as the half wore on.
The goal was shear class from Mooy and it's a shame we couldn't build on it and get a second. Newcastle did create chances, but our defence and goalkeeper are tough to beat these days. For the first time in my years watching Town I don't shit myself every time the ball goes in our box.
It wasn't a perfect performance but it was a good one. We had good performances all over the pitch and we dealt with most of what Newcastle threw at us.
Every point at this level must be fought for, and we'll play better teams than Palace and Newcastle, but 6 points out of 6 is a perfect start. This is as good as it gets being a Town fan. Long may it continue.

Ref had just booked a Newcastle player and wanted to balance it out. Rediculous.

Newcastle fans are an ungrateful bunch wanting Ashley to splash his cash. Didn't he give Bentitez £50m+ to get out of the Championship. That's in addition to all the money spent when they were in the Premier League on all those French frauds.

As far as the Premier League goes, I'm a neutral fan and as such, the game today was the first time I'd watched Huddersfield and I wanted to write about the performance and what better place to do it? After the visit to Palace (which I saw the highlights of), I guess many weren't expecting a continuation; in my view this was just as good because of the team ethic and solid defence. I thought Mooy was fantastic; wherever the action was, he seemed to be and the goal was just reward for the whole team overall. I even added a Town player to my fantasy team, called Zanka although I understand his proper name is Jorgensen. Number 25 I was looking out for but I hardly noticed him - sometimes that is a sign of a player having a good game. I joked on another forum I write on that with a blonde Dane in goal, a solid back four and a fugly frontman (no offence to Mounie) that maybe Huddersfield were the new Leicester! My point of registering on the forum and to bother writing is to say that your team won my praise today and I want to wish you well for the whole season and to remain in the Premier League. The town we live in, Bournemouth, had thier side promoted to the top flight three seasons ago and they're doing well in it; no reason Huddersfield can't. It was the atmosphere and overall commitment I noticed that was so admirable earlier. Town are now my adopted PL side and I'm now armed with a Peter Clarke avatar, handy if I'm to be accepted round these parts!
