Town come down here 18th November. The stadium is tiny, maybe 1,500 away fans, something like that. As a new fan I will be getting a ticket one way or another!

I thought we weathered the storm in the 1st 20 minutes when we were all over the place and you really came out the traps at us. Had a great chance saved brilliantly and then settled down a bit.
far too negative though, little or no creativity going forward but that was exactly the same last season despite us winning the league.
Mooy took his goal very very well, but Merino just stood and watched him, didn't track him and just stood and admired the strike!!
We were very poor but still had a couple of chances to undeservedly nick a point (Perez missed a sitter and Murphy created a good chance for himself that the defender brilliantly recovered and blocked).
Don't think Elliott had much to do still mind.

You were much more positive yesterday than in March, in my opinion, but first goal in a game is crucial.

I thought we looked very dangerous from corners again yesterday, and scored from one last time out. I can't remember a time in the last 10 years when this has been a strength of ours and it might be vital to our chances of surviving. Even if we're getting played off the park, if we get a set piece in the final third we can be a threat.

Newcastle fans are winding me up a bit.
They all love Rafa and criticise the team and Ashley.
Do newcastle really have a bang average squad?
Is it worse than ours?
In my opinion, the answer to both those questions is absolutley not.
I think the problem is Rafa!!
He is the type of manager that NEEDS to spend to be successful. He has to buy top quality to mask his downfalls as a manager.
He comes out in the press and crys about not spending big on players. FFS Rafa, coach the fucking team!
Does anybody on here think that Wagner would've struggled with that newcastle squad budget last season and now in the premier? Would he fuck. He would have Newcastle as one of the favourites for a europa league spot.
I don't buy that Rafa being a top manager at all.
Maybe newcastle fans should take stock of what they have already spent, their huge wage bill, and the state Rafa has them in and wonder if that is still Ashley's fault.
Any manager worth his salt, would have a club like newcastle pissing the championship last year and a very good side in the premier.

when their bloke (Joselu?) went studs first onto our keepers foot, that should have been a straight red. reckless.

Newcastle have spent close to £100 Million over the last 2 seasons. Them having no money to spend is a myth, because they've spent more in 3 transfer windows than we have in our history.

He did win the champions league with Liverpool so he must have something! I agree though, there is nothing to get excited about in the way Newcastle play at the moment.

He did but Di Matteo won it with chelsea and where's he now? Cup competitions always throw up surprises. And it was Steven Gerrard that pulled liverpool through in that final. Rafa's tactics had them 3-0 down in the first half.

Robson Kami's for example at the weekend. I think Vaughan would have received his marching orders for Town a few more times if the bar was set at the level of the Joselu challenge.

Joselu had jumped for the block and wasn't watching the landing. No malice whatsoever, it'd be a word of warning from the referee from the referee for me, nothing more
