People forget that Mounie and LDP are actually very different. No,not just one is an idle sod but LDP holds up play whereas Mounie plays off the other forward players.I believe it would work but only if Mounie stops his sulk. I don't think they are so different. Basically two big lads with a few different attributes. Hardly little and large. Might have been a good plan if we had retained Nahki. Ive thought all season (in my non manager, fan type ignorance) that Wells woukd excel playing upfront with LDP

I think Mooy's state of health/freshness is being overdone. De Bruyne has played every Premier League game this season and a lot of Cup, European and international games and looks as fresh as a daisy especially in the first half of games. He always looks knackered towards the end though. Dr bruyne plays for Belgium though, not Australia. Bit of a difference miles wise. Fuck me, how long is it since his plane landed? I used to work a three shift system 20 years ago. Still not over it..

I agree they are in a different class - but we were talking workload and from that point of view the comparison is valid. Will you be trying Heff up front in your twosome, otherwise I wouldn't mind him getting a game. No, defo not. As we've only got two strikers that decision would be made, but DW keeps playing Mounie rather than LDP, so he must rate him to some degree. I'm sure he rates Mounie, so do I but I believe Depoitre has earned the shirt. I'd play him all games - not too many left this season - unless he is crocked.

Flipped through the recorded game again and noticed that.. Mounie actually worked hard and did at least have a reasonable long distance shot on target... did more than Depoitre during his limited appearance.
Without Schindler we'd be completely buggered.
Two other players also really stood out, but for the wrong reasons... Pritchard, on Saturday's showing, is light weight and out of his depth in the Premiership. As is Sabiri. Hopefully they will bed in but I wouldn't put money on it.

I know this sounds absurd but I think Wagner would excel at a bigger club and with better players. He is a great manager, he has turned average championship players into premier league players and that is amazing, he isn't however a miracle worker and I think now he has hit a brick wall. His training methods are revolutionary and the style he wants to employ would suit a team like arsenal. Unfortunately we just aren't good enough to play the way he wants in this league. At the moment, he looks to be out of his depth! We shouldn't be surprised, only is 2nd full season - UTT. HE’S not out of his depth... some of his players are. But they’re all we have and we need to stay behind them as much as is possible. The alternative is that we don’t and we begin to undermine them.

So Pritchard's Premier League potential is based on a 60 minute appearance? Yes. pritchard should be playing on the turn..he should also be receiving the ball mostly in the opposition half.. he should be at least attracting fouls in much more dangerous areas for us.. his ability to beat players without having to knock them over is not in doubt.. if town dont play to him, he is a lightweight bloke running about a lot without the ball.. added to a heavyweight bloke who does not run about much with or without the ball, it was not his finest moment to show off what he is undoubtedly capable of.. town in a nutshell, decent players and some skill there just not playing in any way that suits them.. take away the grit and the chasing and you get the last few games..

I'd like to think we'd give him a bit more time to prove himself at this level before we write him off. 90 mins perhaps?
