Heaton, Brown, Solanke and a rival for Pritchard and I’ll be more than content.

Money talks, if his contract is almost up they may sell, ive no idea if thats the case, also a keeper is limited to how much he can affect a teams results and we're not exactly desperate for one. I find it hard to believe a new keeper would be the difference to us staying up, a striker could be though hence why we would have no chance taking a striker from a rival.

Apparently Lössl is expecting to move on at the end of the season. I have no idea whether he is homesick or hoping for a bigger/better club, just that's what I've been told. Reliable source too, but don't ask because I'm not stupid enough to name names; you'll just have to roll with it. Or not, as the case may be.

I think Solanke on Loan would be a great signing, young and hungry. Would like another proven striker too, Maupay has kind of stuttered after a blistering start so not sure he's the man. Buying a striker in January is difficult. You're either paying way over the odds for someone scoring a few with the hope he'll get the goals to keep us up or getting someone cheaper but obviously not playing thus out of form. We need someone who's going to start scoring straight away against Cardiff on the 12th but not breaking the bank. So Solanke wouldn't be a great signing then if we need someone to score from the off seeing as Stankovic has as many PL goals

I find this one strange he only signed a contract in July 2018 can't find out for how long though. Not dismissing you're story MT if the guy as another agenda so be it.

Heaton is a good keeper.. Meeks sense if available on the cheap.. Unconvinced wi Lossl tbh.. Makes some great saves one game.. Then sometimes every shot against him seems to go in..like at Watford

Yaya Toure wanting to come back to the Premier League. I say we offer him a contract to the Summer. It would be a large salary. But worth it in an attempt to stay in the Prem.
He might not want to come as we are not a big club. But he would become the biggest player we have ever had. Plus he would almost automatically be put in he starting line up with Mooy out until Feb.
Thoughts?

I would love us to go in for Defoe in a loan deal until the end of the season, proven goalscorer at this level. My only concern is he doesn't fit the current formation we seem to play (big target man up front).
One player not mentioned, Tammy Abraham on a permanent? I know he didn't have the best of seasons last year but he fits the bill as a big stiker upfront, can finish, and if we are to be relegated he is a proven goalscorer in the Championship

I'm a bit worried about pinning all hopes on Solanke - he's scored one goal in the last 2 years - granted he hasn't played loads of games but he did have Salah, Mane, etc providing ammunition!! A more experienced striker is needed in my opinion - surely Dean would splash out on a loan move for Defoe or someone similar! That's more than our strikers mate.

I have yet to see any better striker options available than Solanke will not count as a squad member also given his age. The only problem i see is getting a player like him through the door. We have 2 strikers already who play a certain way for me another striker should be a quick and very mobile and a team man.

I drove past the Hilton earlier and a fancy car with a private reg V8 WHU was just pulling out from the car park, may be nothing in this but potentially a west ham official setting up a transfer??

What about that Toney from Peterborough ? - scored a worldly against the Chickens tonight ? If we have a Jan signing I would reckon he has about 5 games to score and hope we win - after that we are screwed anyway...

Some pretty uninspiring names mentioned in this thread so far! I think we’ll break our transfer record this window...

"It is not that we have a short space of time, but that we waste much of it."
I get the feeling that come January we will sign a couple of players no-one has heard of and almost as soon that no-one will remember. Surviving in the Prem is far easier than getting there...make it happen.
