I don't think the question is should we sack Fotheringham, it's more a case of can we afford to sack him?
Also, when he was appointed, I thought to myself it's with League 1 in mind. I wouldn't be completely surprised if Hoyle sticks to his budget long-term plans.
Look at the rumoured offloading of senior players. The club have given up. Completely thrown the towel in, or that's how it appears in December. Maybe January will bring cause for optimism but I'm not holding my breath.

If there’s any truth in your second paragraph, then that stinks. We were planning for League 1 next time around 3 months into a new season? Honestly, that is shattering. Did they really think the fan base would slavishly go along with this and simply renew next season? Now that is delusional!

Conflicted because we’ve got no brass, no confidence and no goal threat.
Who’s going to work miracles with what we have?
If we could get Warnock out of retirement which I highly doubt then I’d sack him.
If not, may as well keep him.
I cannot see anything but league 1 next season.

It’s all very well saying sack him but would you trust Hoyle and Bromby to bring in anyone better? Of our best appointments in recent times Wagner was more Webber’s appointment and Corberan was Hodgkinson’s Hoyle has been revealed to be league one at best - struggled to take the club forward last time in the championship and is now showing he’s not up to the championship now.

I genuinely don’t like the bloke, he’s arrogant, delusional, and has absolutely nothing to back that up. I feel I can’t get behind the players cos of my dislike of him, as if they do well that means he’ll become more arrogant and delusional. It’s wrong I know, but that’s how I feel, I just want him gone. At least Schofield was a likeable bloke and has done things for Town in the past to earn respect. This bloke has been a truly disastrous appointment and I just can’t back him.

I think Warnock would look at us and think no chance. We won't even bring in free transfers in. So if MF did go can't see anyone want his job

Players were clearly unfit from match 1 and there was no organisation whatsoever. I dont care how MF comes across tbh...... carlos was no mr charisma but there waz a structure and a shape. Right now there isnt even that consistently

We can have all the polls and discussions on here that we like but I think MF will be here until the end of the season. Wagner was untried and got us to the prem. Carlos was untried and got us to the playoff final. There is nothing wrong with the way we do it but, as Carlos showed in his first season, it takes a while to gel. MF will learn and he seems to have the players on board, which is a big thing. The issue we have is we don't score when we are on top. That may be fixable by tactics but I fear it needs a predatory striker, which we don't have.
I think League 1 awaits and I hope, by then, we have a new owner in place to take us forward. I have no axe to grind with Dean Hoyle but he is now in a no win situation, and I am sure he would love to be just a fan again, and I am sure he always will be.

I never really took to Carlos but that was partly down to the fact I couldn’t understand him.

We as fans can’t do bugger all about it and things look bleak, but if we have a better chance by changing the coach with still 72 points to play for then you never know we could still do it. If we don’t make any changes then yes we will go down and that will cost the club around £8 million before we start with the rest. The board have a big decision now.

Yes, I believe Pochettino is waiting in the wings.
Happy to take a wage cut and live in a rented house in Lepton.
And he will absolutely bridge the gap between the lack of quality we have against other Championship sides.
It’s a done deal!.

We can't score so we are going down Might as well give someone else a chance to try something different. Who knows, they might come in, stick Mbete up front, launch it up to his head for 90 minutes and lead us on a 20 game winning streak to the play offs

Quality not quantity is required to see if Fotheringham can make this squad into a better team especially in front of goal
All eyes are now on the January window

A change of coach could, and often does, change things. I don't think the signs are there that it will happen. It is a very cut throat industry though so who knows.

I doubt he’s going anywhere yet, as I said in the poll I started in September. He’s highly rated in Germany and will be with us in Division 3 next season, although I feel he might just keep us up.
Most people here fail to grasp that there’s no money left to replace him anyway. We’re skint.

Seems to me that the players are united against him rather than playing for him. Are they though? We came out of the traps well the other day against Watford. The effort was there if the quality wasn't quite there to match it. Aided by a vociferous home crowd too. It was only as the match wore on that there proved to be a fairly noticeable gulf in quality between the two sides.
