Deal to be completed very soon, maybe today. (Alan Nixon) Does Powell know that? Â lets see who is right as at our end they say no contact has been made from Cardiff! Russell slade has said that they are 'very interested' and that Peltier is 'on the radar' So I should imagine that Powell knows that they are interested or that a bid has been made.

This guys loving him..
' I am very happy with us signing Lee Peltier, he is quality. He can play at right back or centre back and is a very hard working, committed and he works his bol*ocks off. He is also very good at going forward when playing at right back. But, he can also defend very well when at right back. Lets all give him a chance before you all write him off. He was quality in his first spell with Huddersfield and he got a big move to Leicester where he did well until a new manager came in and didnt want him. A bit like our own situation with Slade as he has like the Leicester manager at the time, not given ALL of the squad a chance, even the very good players.
Bloooooobirds.

Powell said he has had no contact from Cardiff City amid reports the Welsh club are interested in defender Lee Peltier, who has been on the fringes at Town. If true I don't know why the club do this. It's not especially clever and if Peltier goes erodes confidence from fans in what the club says What's wrong is saying "I can't really comment on that". No harm done and just as useful as a denial when it's pretty clear something is afoot in terms of Cardiff and Peltier The club do the same tactic on injuries time and again. "should be back in a couple of weeks" and then the player isn't mentioned again for months! Just makes an utter mockery of the clubs values www.htafc.com/club/customercharter/ Honesty, Trust, Respect, Character Just say nowt rather than wilfully mislead!

Peltier is nowhere near as bad as some people are making out. He had value as a utility player, able to cover number of positions. Squad is starting to look very thin unless Powell is planning on utilising some of the younger players. Need to sign some players.

Pelts is proven at this level I would prefer to keep him as he covers three positions, people knocking him haven't got a clue a think hes miles better than smith at rb.Club seem intent on selling our better players if its true of course.

I would totally agree bullterrier. He's not a centre half but as a full-back is streets ahead of Smith, who's unfortunately been targeted/found out defensively this season. If you read Neil Warnock's book you see how highly he rated him as an experienced and influencial professional.

Smith is decent at this level. When Peltier's has played this season I've not seem a noticeably better right back than Smith. In fact I think Smith (who links well with Scannell) is the better player at right back ... and more importantly so does Chris Powell
Smith is younger (so could improve more) and will be on lower wages, pretty easy decision I would say and no grudges to Peltier. He was great first time around and I don't blame him wanting a move for regular football. Good luck to the guy if the move happens

If true, then good business by us. Liked Pelts and thought he would settle back in well for us but he's looked nothing like the player who left us. He's looked nervous and cautious and lacking in any confidence. Not what's required. Good luck to the lad, though.
