got on the defensive gents apologies!! It does make sense as he is on 49 league appearances. Powell has made it plain with others, if he wants you out out you go. Indeed. He pulls no punches. His treatment if Gobern seemed odd though- a start then dropped and seemingly out in the cold before a sustained run. Perhaps he had a stern final warning and Oscar upped his training efforts. It certainly seems a plausible theory from Wigan terrier. I also think powell wouldn't be interested in a player like Hammill with unprofessional attitude and off the field issues. Powell clearly likes uber professionals like he was himself.

Grayson will surely come in for Hammill.

I'd be amazed if Hammill hasn't made 50 league appearances for town!

Posted previous ex player described Hammill as the thickest person he had ever come across ,Clayton the complete arsehole and Gerrard a knob, plus Norwood never stopped moaning. All since gone .

Ask me in a year or two when Wardy has fully recovered from his recent injury, settled into his new team and got a run of games and goals behind him. It's too easy to pick on someone who has been starved of games through injury isn't it. Time will tell and I won't be surprised to see Wardy and possibly Hammill returning and stuffing it up us in similar style to Rhodes. Lol Tee Hee

They were/are always called fat too!! Ward was officially the second fastest sprinter in our squad when he was here! Bet he's not as quick as you eh Chip Fat?

Another assist for Wardy tonight according to the BBC
The deadlock was eventually broken on 52 minutes when Rotherham top-scorer Derbyshire pounced on a Danny Ward cross from close range for his 10th goal of the season.

He assisted both goals tonight. Good on him, but I still think it was a good decision to let him go when we did. Simply didn't do enough for us enough of the time.

I'm just not sure if we still had Danny Ward on the books, who he'd replace - Sean Scannell, Harry Bunn, or Joe Lolley.

2 assists from the fat boy,
If only Ross Wilson's data vests could have told him this valuable information. Shame on Town if Ward was a Stone and a half over weight when he joined Rotherham. How can a professional club let that happen, what do they do in training ? One thing Town can be the very best at is being the fittest team in the league, I've thought for a long time why Town get battered from the off. Not fit, not motivated, very slow to get going in a game. Take an age to take a throw in. Buxton's teams threw the kitchen sink at team's in the first 15 mins with the game won on many occasions in this period.
Well done Danny lad

And yet we're on 54 points of a potential 57, ensuring safety with games in hand and having beaten some of the top sides in the league with some excellent football. I don't remember that many Buxton games we had won after 15 minutes either. Tinted specs there methinks.
