The physio/medical team want to know aswell. They've got mortgages and families to feed. If Vaughan goes then there could be wholesale redundancies. Nice one! I very rarely laugh out loud at stuff on here, but this one had me snorting coffee out of my nose! Not a pretty picture, I know ...

Are the things levelled against him snippets/heresy that are just picked upon ? Property investments/Portfolio - there's many a footballer got these and they don't stop playing. Why should JV be any different? What exactly does he own ? The Town of Bootle or a couple of Chip shops ? Twitter - yes Vaughan does a few tweets now and again, but from what I can see it's not like some of the users on here who do must rob their employers of their wages week in week out by being permanently logged on DATM !! As I pointed out yesterday, 2 years out of 3 on the sick. Wages week in week out !!!!

I think your stats are a bit way off. 28 appearances last season 14/15. 26 appearances 13/14. 37 appearances 12/13. Yes, frustrating periods of injury/suspension, but missing 2 years from 3? - Go figure !

He hasn't tweeted for two days.. Surely if your club and employees win first game of season you'd tweet something ?? Maybe he's not bothered ?

For DH to publicly comment on Vaughan certainly makes you wonder if there has been some sort of confrontation between the two. If so I wouldn't blame Hoyle for the stance he has taken. At the end ofmea the day he pays his wages. Patience may have worn thin. In most industries Vaughan would have been disciplined and or given the boot by now. DH didn't make it sound like a confrontation, he just said that he wouldn't be offered a new contract. A couple of tweets from that night.. Sadly we don't seem to be a very good position currently, hopefully that will change.

If he was fit and raring to go, does anyone seriously believe he wouldnt be in the match day squad at least? Twitter, I dont do it.. I cant rob myself.. I can be logged onto any site I wish..i will tell myself off later.. Its fairly common knowledge about his portfolio, he sold one abroad a few weeks ago, lots of people/players have property, sometimes it takes over your 'proper work' or becomes your main income???

Dean sent a policy update that printer paper should now be bought from The Works but Vaughan insists on getting his from Staples.

For not getting picked?! What about Duane Holmes, should he be disciplined, as he's also not been picked this season. Flo Bojaj?

Vaughan doesn't tweet very often and none of the tweets he has made have criticized the club. His tweeting has been vastly overstated by those who seek to make him out as trouble maker!

Obviously the football industry has its own rules and is extremely different compared to most employers

Most employees would be getting a sizeable payout!!

See Powell has confirmed this morning that he is sick, excuse me, injured AGAIN.

Surely any club looking to take on such an injury prone " sick note " type player would only offer him a pay per play contract. Town took a gamble by giving Vaughan a contract , and that gamble paid off as his contribution kept the club in the championship.

No player in his right mind would sign a pay as you play contract. Would you do the same in your job?

If it was a choice of not having any job at all or getting £15k plus every time I played then yes I would.

Plenty of folk DO sign a zero hours contract, which is effectively what a 'pay as you play' contract is. Although in football I think typically they still get paid a decent (compared to average man) income anyhow even whilst theyre not playing, just its a contract loaded highly with play bonu).

Its the here and now that counts and his comments on Twitter just confirm to me that this guy takes the piss. A frickin cold could keep him out for 6 weeks. 'I'm fit'

I bet on this type of contract he'd be available a lot more than he's been over the past 18 months at town.
