Why don't we sell the other 2k ourselves to Leeds fans that are part of their away ticket scheme and then to their season ticket holders? No Town fan would want to pay the prices being charged in the South Stand when seats elsewhere in the stadium are both cheaper and available.

Because the number trying to pay on the day could result in absolute bedlam I would imagine. We already know the SS will sell out, I would hate to think the mischief a couple of thousand ticketless Leeds fans could cause in our town centre, where no doubt they would head for in the hope of watching it on tele. We could sell the other half of the SS online to Leeds fans. Pay us directly and we post paper tickets out. There's probably some provision in the FL rules that says we have to use the away club to mediate sales, but maybe not. That could lead to banned Leeds fans getting invitations they wouldn't get through the normal channels.

The offence is committed when they show up to a football ground, and the police monitor that - it wouldn't be hard to get someone to buy you a ticket if you're under a FBO, but it wouldn't be the ticket selling process that would catch you. Whether there's anything in the regulations to stop us going over the other club's head and sell directly to their fans is the issue. As I doubt an away team has ever acted like this before, it's possible that no such restriction exists. I imagine Hoyle would be amenable to pissing off the Leeds hierarchy if he got the choice - he always chose to sat with the fans at the away fixture.

Unless you're on our database it isn't possible to buy a home ticket for this match, brilliant... I know what i'll do,,, i'll get one in the away end.

At least it would keep all the troglodytes in the same pen.

Just become aware of this and make no mistake this will have serious implications for our fixture v Huddersfield which will be the first one to effectively impact on our travelling support. Our Supporters Trust was not consulted on this and have already put out a public statement demanding full refunds for all Leeds Supporters who have purchased Membership Cards, myself 2 x £40 pre season in order to be ahead of the queue for games like this and to stand even a remote chance of getting an Away Ticket.
Talks already on our forums of turning up en masse anyway with or without tickets and you can only guess what sort of chaos that may cause for law abiding fans of both clubs.
Travel restrictions will be impossible to impose with the proximity of both clubs and many of our fans coming from all corners of the UK and beyond, a few weeks off but I really fear that this decision will have some very serious consequences indeed.

Why turn up if they won't be able to get in? They have the safety net, ironically on this one, of watching it in any Pub or Club in the host town on Sky TV if they cannot get into this fixture. It would have been bad enough if it were a London game but for this to be the first fixture affected and so close too !

Why turn up if they won't be able to get in? For the same reason Hull fans turned up at ours without tickets a couple of years back....To protest / demonstrate. And get peed up watching in the pubs.

Why are Leeds only getting 2k tickets? WYP advise? Or is that just the initial allocation?

Well done Collino and I agree with him. However, it may well be worth looking at your own ticketing policy and what you charge away supporters too? The height of hypocrisy, I agree. Exactly.. Also ripping his own fans off with official travel , £54 for a family of four , family rail n bus day rover £11.70 .

This is totally stupid. Hoyle will be so angry with this he was prepared to give them half of the Kilner bank so like over 5000 tickets this time this lack of ticket sales will probably effect our warchest in january

Leeds fans get treated abominably They take it though ted,all rivalry aside it needs a team like leeds to start boycotting away games, even home games, do it for a decent amount of time and something may be done on pricing, but for those that boycott the away games plenty more will take their place

I think Town should sell the other 2,000 SS tickets directly to Leeds fans, first come first served. As in pre-game sale only. No reason why our ticket office couldn't sell direct to them. Obviously Leeds won't give us there membership data so it would have to be first come first served. No pay on the day and it made clear up front. Charge them £20 too and show them what a good charitable club we are with good morals! Segregate their £31 lot from their £20 lot down the middle... As well as being hilarious, Leeds would be happy, Town would be happy £££ and it would certainly generate the attention the situation needs. Cellinio is clearly a crackpot. That said, I kind of see his point here, although his sledgehammer approach is a bit silly.
Also puts another 2,000 addresses on our season ticket mail shot list! Obviously would need keeping separate from our regular client database, otherwise things would get a trifle messy!
Now that's all sorted... Make it so!

Town will save/make a packet on this decision, they're only liable for policing costs inside the ground, which will be minimal with such a reduced away attendance.

So, could we charge them £60 each for this game?
The demand will be there and we get the same cash as a 4000 following with half the hassle.
They are used to being treated "abominably" and really love it.
Win/ win for both sides!

"Is that all you....is that all you...is that all you bring away"
"Could have come in a taxi"
Etc.
(Even though it's more fans than we took to Leeds last time I went a couple of seasons back...although that's not the point!!)
This is going to be a cracker.
