if I were him I'd bide my time at leicester, going out on loans .. he's only 18 ..he needs to be playing not sat on bench like Smithies is now doing every week, and like he'd surely end up doing at Liverpool..

I suppose it also depends when his contract is up....if it is at the end of the season 4m now would be excellent business for Leicester. His comments about Town's passing game being better suited to him than Leicester's style probably indicate he doesn't see himself staying with them.

What a smashing guy! Seriously though, if Liverpool do sign him it would probably be our best chance of getting him back on loan.. Unless Leicester can fend off all bids & they want him to continue his development here. I think Leicester can afford to turn down bids of £4m, and with the possibility of Champions League football next season why would they weaken their squad of players ? Because that Champions League football could more or less guarantee that their stay in the Premier League will last longer than next season, and they'll be wanting BETTER (probably foreign) players? Let's face it, he's decent, but he's no Gareth Bale.

Makes me wonder if Wagner earlier mentioned to his best mate at Liverpool that town have an amazing defender in Ben Chilwell.
Chilwell seems to have a very bright future ahead of him ,and very much doubt town would find better in the loan market
If Chilwell signed for Liverpoool , then this might give town more of a chance of keeping him for longer load period as to that of developing him.

Why on Earth would he want to leave a club who look destined for the Champion's League? He may be looking to the long term.. I know which club i'd rather be playing for. Anybody but victimpool Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards

The least you can say from that, is that it's not a foregone conclusion that he is going back.

Chilwell tweeting #UTT with a picture of him celebrating with Wells at QPR suggests he's staying. Either that or it's a cryptic farewell message.

He seems to have been enjoying himself here, and that's great. Hopefully we can keep him until the end of the season!

good player, who will benefit from getting games with us. it's a no lose for leicester as they get a player back with experience of passing football in a competitive league.
hope he stays.

Lolley: my wish for 2016 is that @benchilwell stays forever (or just until end of season before signing for 100 million somewhere) Deano: stay til end of season @benchilwell ?? ?? ? proper player. Taken from twitter, which he re-tweeted. Until there's a tweet from Davidson begging him to stay, I'll reserve judgment on the situation.

Looks like Arsenal are still interested and upping their summer bid of £3.5 million.

Or...Let's hope we are the club Arsenal loan him to? Wouldn't be the first time they've loaned us a player.

Why on earth would Leicester sell Chilwell at all at the moment? Offer him a new deal, let him play the rest of the season with us and get him in their side next season when they're likely to have European football. How much did Luke Shaw go for? £3.5m seems far too little based on that benchmark...it will be a right result if we keep him for a season. The lad is a proper talent.

I think he will want to stay with us for the rest of the season, it won't matter whether he signs another contract with Leicester or transfers to another club. He is 18 and he has settled in well at a new club where he is appreciated and gaining game time. 18 years is very young, it is unlikely he would want to go on loan to a new club or return to the reserves of Leicester, arsenal or Liverpool.
Leicester won't sell him for 3.5m imo.
