Bad weekend for stadium Giants getting spanked 16-0 Already Ruin pitch and we lost. 6-22 now. Always going to be tough with so many players out injured. Brough's deadleg is taking a while to clear up - he's a massive loss.

Lost 18-36 to make it 3 losses in 3. At least we're above Leeds in the table though.

Big problems at the Giants. My mate's being going donkey's years to watch them and he reckons they'll be closer to the bottom four than the top four this season. Need to get some of the injured players back and playing again otherwise it'll be a long, hard season of struggle.

How is the pitch bearing up? We need it smooth for the flowing football.

Can't be arsed reading through this thread, but despite football being my number one sport interest, nobody can deny that these athletes are real men. Their was so much diving yesterday it's untrue. Whatever you think of rugby league, Ken Davey, blah blah blah, its a proper mans sport unlike football these days.

Just flicked sky sports 2 on to check rugby score, Wigan v Catalans. The pitch is a right mess, the egg keeps slipping all over the place. Centre of field is just mud. Hope the ground staff can keep the John Smiths grass lush or else Wagner will have something to deal with that I'm pretty sure he wont be used to. Wigan Athletic played 4 home games in January whilst the weather was bad. That's why their pitch is shot, not half an hour of rugby!!

Get back under your bridge and ignore us then. Under my bridge FFS. I'm no Giants fan, or RL for that matter. Can take it or leave it. But to think that they ruin the pitch ?? It's dragged out every year, and every year it gets more monotonous. As has been pointed out earlier in the thread, ask the groundstaff. I have a sneaking feeling they MIGHT know more than you. And I can see that from under my bridge Well if we get promoted next season, then it will cause the Giants some right problems. No sporting fixtures are to be played at least 24 hours before a fixture and I seem to think for 24 hours after a fixture. That leaves the Giants for a Saturday fixture playing between Monday and Thursday

Footballers are pansies compared to rugby players of both codes. We all know you don't like rugby league, but why do you feel compelled to snear at it all the time? It has a strong and loyal fan base in the north and despite being less popular than football is a sport that deserves respect.

Ellis now injured too. They'll have a job on finding 13 fit players for the Leeds game. It'll be a clash between the bottom two but I suspect Leeds will get their first win of the season.

I dont have any interest in rugby league but they are a huddersfield team, we share a ground and id rather they were top than bottom. I have forgiven and forgotten our past associations, we have all moved on since.
one of my lads worked closely with a few of the Giants in the last couple of years and has nothing but praise for them.

Must explain why I enjoy Union a lot more than League now!

Is it me or has the standard of the league this year been poor, not just the tonking in all 3 of the games but just not the quality of previous years.

Is it me or has the standard of the league this year been poor, not just the tonking in all 3 of the games but just not the quality of previous years. The gulf between the northern and southern hemispheres is far bigger than union, and that's saying something. The skill levels are miles behind. The English game has become smash and kick rather than some magic with the ball in hand.

Got into watching my local team when I moved to Cornwall, and it was a damn good day out, and a taxi ride back into town with my pals to carry on the supping. However even in the 6 nations, scrums are now uncontested, and obvious feeding is allowed just so you no longer get those 5 minute breakdowns which used to be infuriating !

hull fc rugby played thursday and hull city friday how you work that out ? Think its referring to the 24hr clear window. But of course, Hull City aren't a Premier League team so that doesn't apply anyway.
