I bet Davy will be spinning in his grave llooking at the table.. What do you mean that fucker's still alive?? I spoke to him at the Stadium a couple of months ago and he's a nice bloke. He was coming up to that barrier up the slope by the South Stand and I was walking towards the ground with my daughter. He wound the window down and asked if he could give my daughter some chocolate. We chatted for a couple of minutes, he talked rugby and I talked football; he was quite a laugh. I did feel like I was Homer Simpson though. I always think of him as Mr Burns.

Scum of manchester, what a joke, against their own team, women getting crushed. Dear me. Shouldn't that be the scrum of Salford?

Surprised he could even drive up there given how windy it gets.

This was always gonna happen with the Giants just a matter of time, without sounding bad here ,relocating the Giants to somewhere else if got relegated would be better for the football club as previous posts say ,blue and white on seats pitch in good condition all year round and also think would get a lot of wandering fans back too ,make it into fortress

Huddersfield are unlikely to be relegated assuming the rules are the same as last year. The Super League is the most pathetic league in the world for promotion and relegation. Last year they took the bottom 4 SL teams and the top 4 championship teams, played a mini league with a 4th v 5th winner takes all. Who'd have thought that all 4 sides from the bigger, better, more attractive league would come out in the top 4 places and stay in the top flight? Oh, and the SL clubs are allowed to spend more on players than the championship clubs, which meant Wakefield splashed out on players specifically for the mini league.
Wakefield deserved to go down and Leigh deserved to go up last year. How can a club not get relegated when they only won 3 matches all year?!
At least it's better than when they had no promotion or relegation at all. But only just.

They're certainly having a tough time of it this yr. Maybe the team needs freshening up a bit?
Shame to see some of the comments on here. Nothing to do with Davy, just the fact that our other pro team in the town is struggling and folk quite happy to turf them out...

I fecking hate the Giants, and want them to do badly always. Many Town fans are RL fans but a large percentage of those aren't Giants fans. They'll always be the MK Dons of RL to me.

Nothing to do with Davy, just the fact that our other pro team in the town is struggling and folk quite happy to turf them out... I suspect a lot of those wanting to turf them out don't come from Huddersfield and therefore have no affinity with any Huddersfield club except for Town. The Town fans who come from Huddersfield that I know are generally supportive of the Giants and want them to do well for the town. Even if they don't like rugby league, and even if they have a problem with Davy. I understand the animosity to Ken Davy but anyone who is from Huddersfield and wants the Giants to lose needs to give their head a long, good shake. You should support any team representing our proud town. I can't stand rugby union but I still want the union side to do well. Infact if we had a tiddly winks team I'd want them to do well!

How can they be the MK Dons of rugby league when they are the Huddersfield Giants playing in Huddersfield? Even when they joined with the Sheffield Eagles they played the majority of their games in Huddersfield. They have never upped and left the town. I am uneasy about what happened with the merger - it left a bad taste in the mouth - but the team never left the town like the Dons left south London and permanently relocated to Milton Keynes. The comparison simply does not stand up.

The MK Dons of RL? Do you support another RL team or is your post a tad vitriolic for other reasons? As I've said above, not about Davy, it's about being proud of a team who have existed for many many yrs & in the birthplace of RL...

The comparison simply does not stand up. I think the issue is that they didnt merge with the Eagles, in business terms, they ARE the Sheffield Eagles. This is the entity that was the Eagles and is now operating as the Giants... beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/01810029And this is the business that used to be the rugby club of Huddersfield... beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/02880024Guess which one has a 20% stake in the stadium...it's not the Giants.

I want the Giants to do well however told the club that until Davy goes I don't want any e mails from them. Whilst you can say Davy saved us he then instigated a long legal battle with Dean Hoyle with regard to getting the shares back. He said he was going to hold them until another owner came in however he was greedy and charged £2 million for what he had bought for £2. Shame on him as it showed he like other owners was only in it for the money.

Maybe just coincidence but judging from experience I have had two instances of bad mannered Anti Town Giants supporters while waiting in the ticket office queue over the last year . I would say the unpleasantries are not just one way.

some of the comments on here are completely ridiculous towards Davy, complete lack of respect when Davy transferred the Town shares in KSDL into his own company for a notional sum, then insisted Dean Hoyle had to pay £2m for them if he wanted them back, Davy lost the right to any respect...certainly from Town fans. You reap what you sow in this life...

I for one and theres also thousands of other Huddresfield people want our football and rugby clubs to be the best , dont like that fook off to Leeds Liverpool or Manchester with your sporting support

I got told when they signed Brough that he owed a shit load in betting debts and Davy paid them off and took it out of his wages. He's now going under due to the debts he's run up since signing.
