just been reading a few of the posts about tonight's game and am I the only one who wondered what on earth we were doing in the second half.i understand the deep block and can see why DW uses it but 2 - 0 down at half time and to still carry on playing the same way ? In my opinion DW got it wrong in the second half and it was almost pitiful to see the passing backwards and sideways instead of pressing higher or playing the odd ball over the top and forcing them to defend deeper.
Also in entertainment value that gets a 1 from me and that is being generous.

Awful weather, difficult travelling conditions and on the telly, will be a few empty seats tonight, probably the smallest crowd of the season. As for the game a point would be great, can see both sides making changes and hopefully we can put in another top performance, UTT. It's sold out

Pointless in my opinion. As others have said, we already have safe standing. Only difference would be that kids would find it harder to see with no seat to stand on. If it means we can get 2000 in the South Stand instead on 1600 then bring it on. I guess the small/young kids wouldn't go in any sections with safe standing - the majority of the ground would still be normal seating. I appear to be missing the point if this posting above is anything to go on,I was under the impression that seats were introduced to reduced the possibility of a crush like ibrox and Hillsborough to prevent 2,000 people being crammed into an area that is safe for only 1600. I prefer to sit at a game but if others want to stand then so long as you don't cram 2,000 into an area designed for 1600 and everyone is safe from being crushed then I see no problem with safe standing

Give Depoitre a ball over the top, against 1 or 2 defenders, and he will score goals. Any ball over the top just to mix it up would be a revalation at the present time

No shit Sherlock I was taking the mickey, but you appear to be the tactical genius not every teamplays a lone striker, that just you making things up. Our lone striker is exactly that as no one gets up to support whoever it is who is playing the role. Well If we are so shit support somebody else you whinging get. Do you not watch any football matches?? Man city. Arsenal. Liverpool. Spurs. Man Utd. Chelsea. All play 1 striker. With support from midfield. Our problem is lack of quality in attacking midfield areas. Maybe because we have the lowest budget in the league. do you expect us to Do?? Play 4-4-2 and get over run in midfield every game. It's a miracle we are where we are and Wagner is the best manager we've had in the last 50 years...but.. Apparently we have to change our tactics and have a bit more of a go do we?? There appear to be only 7 teams in your league I agree DW is the best manager we have had in a long time but AWAY from home we are struggling and if we are going to loose let's loose 4-3 and have a real go as we don't get any more or less points if we loose1-0 5-0 or 4-3

The Sherlock line is mockingly highlighting your powers for solving mysteries..as in Sherlock holmes(cant believe i had to explain that) Pretty much every team in the premier.lg plays with a lone striker. It's the modern way. Our failings are thru a lack of talent not poor tactics or organisation. Arsenal for example had 100 million pounds worth of attacking midfielders supporting their lone striker....we had kachunga and super col... That's why we are struggling to score away from home No shit Sherlock I was taking the mickey, but you appear to be the tactical genius not every teamplays a lone striker, that just you making things up. This tag needs to be dropped in my opinion as it's wearing a bit thin,we should stick our chests out when playing away and have a real go and attack from the off. In the games at Liverpool Bournemouth and Arsenal last night we have conceded 12 goals and had just 7 shots on target playing god knows what system. A lone centre forward with no support is never going to win us anything so in my opinion we should drop the little old Huddersfield mentality and have a real go every away game. We can't do any worse than we are doing at present and we had Arsenal and Bournemouth under pressure when we went forward. DW always tells us how fantastic the fans are,and 3,000 in London on a Wednesday night is fantastic, but just to emphasise a point if the above 3 games last 280 mins, the away fans are seeing a shot on goal ( not a goal) every 40 mins, so DW is it time to change tactics?and give us something to make all those trips worthwhile by getting about the teams away from home like we did last year. Another tactical genius.. "We aren't having enough shots at goal" No shit Sherlock... Rest assured that when dw does leave for a big club😉 There are multiple datm tacticians ready to take over No shit Sherlock ? must have some relevance but probably only you can see it,the only Tactics I mention are IMO leaving one up front with no support will get us nowhere it could be Neymar up there by himself and we still would not score.I am not a tactical genius but i think its testing everyone's patience the way we are playing AWAY from home.

Little indeed. The press totally hack me off. A full page match report in the London Evening Standard. "Wenger" appears 9 times. The word "Huddersfield" just twice and not a single Town player is named in the article. Incredibly "Mourinho" gets SIX mentions because Arsenal play them this weekend. Talk about ignored. It's a London centric paper, also it's more a comic book nowadays, not because of Osborne, but the fact its free now tells you what you should expect to see in it... As for attacking more, our game plan Sunday almost thwarted one of the best teams around... People need to chill, enjoy the ride and leave tactics to someone who has been a revelation for us... Sunday I believe was at Home I never said a word about the home form or tactics it's the away form and the system we play that I was commenting on,one shot at goal every 40 mins is pushing the boundaries a bit on loyalty and entertainment.

Leaving the game yesterday I walked out with an old friend of mine Mark and a friend he was with, also during the game I was talking to a nice man behind me and we could not work out if the second goal was on side or not. I thought it was but it clearly was not ( you were both correct Marks friend and the man behind me) as proved by MOD highlights.
It was also clearly a foul that we did not get that led to the first goal ( should have cleared it though) then Malone went mad for the third goal so all in all I have changed my point of view from poor game to unlucky again.
On to Man City and with the re-instatment of Hogg both normal full backs and a fit again SM get your money on for a 3-2 win to Town.
just a point I thought the Stewards, the half time entertainment the home made Pies and Bovril were fantastic yesterday as was the general atmosphere in and around the ground.
Sorry Ted

As as I said have a nice day “Bet you’re not going “ Why didn’t you just post that as your thread title you bitter old tosser? Trust me the regard you hold me in doesn’t light a candle in comparison with my thoughts on you and your stupid bitter spiteful threads .. take a look in the mirror See as if by magic a response of tremendous intellect. Bitter not me I've nothing to be bitter about unlike you. Just got back, poor game after first 35 Mins, then poor meal out as well.its also raining but never mind ( at least I went) did you? Perhaps it's time you realised that nobody is really interested in the garbage you post and your opinion counts for zero to anybody apart from you. Oh by the way I had chips with my dinner

If we are being honest, the main reason you posted was to tell people sit down at Bournemouth and moan about people standing at away games. It was never about a song was it? Nice to see everyone getting a chance at tickets for this one and no moaning about no tickets available from the normal culprits ( could it be because it means traveling more than 60 miles on a weekday instead of a weekend?) Me I didn't get a ticket for the Town end but will be SITTING on the halfway line after getting two tickets from a Arsenal fan.Happy days all I need now is a Town win to make it a great day out.

Do those old boys not have the ability to get a blue (& white) badge??? This will be so different from when I worked on the car parks as a lad. Didn't have to cater for so many fans and probably the no. of fans back then who would have used public transport & walked... Neither of them come anymore. Stopped coming at end of the Wagner's first six months. One of them has passed away, the other couldn't handle the whole matchday experience anymore. Quite sad really It was probably because they had to stand up all game at away matches.

Always liked Clark's passion if he ever came back for a half time raffle I'd certainly applaud him. Wouldn't want him back in the home dugout though. To PUT A BALANCED VIEW ON Clark overall he did a good job at town and those within the club know that but when the change came it probably should have been made earlier as I have said before there is a fine line between succsess and failure in the pro game and without doubt he was and is a real football person.I hope he keeps in the game in some capacity because his application can never be in doubt. But he is CRAP he had money to burn when he was with us and failed, another big headed under achiever in my opinion ( but then I always find giving an opinion difficult)

I can start a post about people standing up if you want? my legs and back were killing me and some people insisted on standing up on the steps which were very difficult to walk up and down. It's a genuine moan for someone over 60 with bad legs ( calipars ) who has difficulty standing and walking but does not want to be classed as disabled I think you have already identified your solution to having to stand. If the majority want to stand then unless you are in a designated disabled area you will have to stand, same applies vice versa. How about this idea? we get Dean Hoyle to take every seat out of the JS stadium then all the old ones will have a heart attack and keel over, this will then make a lot of P1 tickets available and everyone can get tickets for the away games. I think it's a Genius idea I will drop him a line straight away and if everyone else who moans about not getting tickets does the same Dean can implement the idea before the Man City game.

Where do I say I am in awe of Liverpool fans? And what stops you like me supporting Town but also listening to a worldwide famous rendition of a famous song, that after Hillsborough when Liverpool played Everton even the Everton fans joined in. I also said I don't appreciate druken fans standing in front of me when I want to sit down, but it appears you don't respect other people's right to enjoy themselves in a more civilised way. If you love YNWA so much then go buy a ST in the kop next season then. They all sat down so they clearly weren't drunk. You'll fit in lovely there. I which I was as wise and smart as you, then I could post such a astute response

What's wrong with going to Anfield and wanting to listen to YNWA ? the first time I went in 1970 and the Kop sang YNWA it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. We are going to a football match we are not going to War, and all the rude hand gestures ( even from kids who don't even know what they mean ) seem pointless to me I love Town as much as anyone but don't feel the need to demean myself with foul language and disrespecting long held traditions from other clubs. I find it odd, I'm there to support Town, not stand in awe of Liverpool. Aren't you the one that said fans who've go to stand and sing are all drunken idiots? Now you're telling me that you enjoy seeing the KOP stand and sing YNWA. Where do I say I am in awe of Liverpool fans?
