To all those that went to the game did anyone take any positives out of the performance on the pitch? Yes the fans sang a lot and kept up the backing throughout but let's try to keep the comments to the players performance.

Sat down row F seat 92 but that's irrelevant to a smart Arse who does not travel to the games and makes stupid comments If you're gonna sit down all game in silence, leave after 60 mins, and complain like a bitch when town are 3rd in the league you'd be doing the town a favour if you didn't bother coming at all. Who's bitching? just telling as it was, what's wrong with sitting down? Left early 0-4 down playing poorly perhaps I have a mind of my own unlike you

I can pick two out. Schindler and Lowe were disgraceful. Not positives Lowe had Bunn helping him ( or not as the case was) he is a league one player at best, and I agree about Lowe and Schindler but there was another 9 just as bad

Hard to find a single positive from today I left at 0-4 and I he 5th went in before I hot to the Fulham end, below is a quick summary ( note the reaccuring theme)
1st goal cross in from outside the box on our right, defender from Fulham all alone at our back post heads it down and their number 25 all alone to knock it back across goal into net.
2nd goal cross from our right attacker at back post all alone with time to bring it down and volley past Ward
3rd Goal Cross from our right man all alone at back post heads down and in ( ward perhaps should have saved ?)
4th Goal Torn to bits down our left foul in box penalty me walking back to the car at Hammersmith.
Dont really want to pick anyone out as the entire team was pants but Bunn offered no help down the left and Fulham were much quicker, stronger closed us down well and could have had a few more.
Expect a lot of comments far stronger than this tonight.

We don't need count downs or pre match music. Let fans build up the atmosphere with town songs. Count downs come across as very American. I wish they'd stop the pre KO music in English football, it drowns out the atmosphere. I hear you mate, the music is shit isn't it? And the teamsheets just aren't read out all that well anymore either. I'm talking about getting a wall of fucking noise going on, not just in the south stand, I know not everyone will get involved, but back in the day, at Leeds road, the switch between the cowshead and the terrace and when we all sang together was like actually supporting the club vocally. The South stand lads have made a great start, lets kick it up a gear or two. I remember 1969/70 season and the song everyone sung when we won promotion was na na na na kissing good by song. All we need to do to get the best atmosphere we have ever had is to get the man on the microphone to start at one side of the ground getting them to start Na na na na na na na na hey hey Huddersfield Town each side sings it three times and then the entire ground joins in

Ings is a great shout but I bet he's on some coin. If we could get him and only pay a proportion of his wages such as £15k/£20k a week then Deano would be tempted to get him to get us to the promised land surely? How much coin will a player on a season long loan from Man City cost? They must be paying him £20/30k per week which I guess they will be paying at least half,so on this basis Ings is a possibility

I keep checking to see if he has scored but it appears he is not even getting a game. I don't know if he left on bad terms but I would have him back on loan in a flash. Anyone know why he is so out of favour?

Just back home and I have been listening to Radio Berkshire and all of their commentators said we deserved at least a draw. We were fantastic in the second half and gave everything the commentator said the ref got both the big desicisions wrong they said VLP should not have been sent off and Gunter should have gone. The last 25 mins Reading were hanging on for dear life. And to all those who take the piss when the ref gave Gunter a yellow card I stood up and swore.Well done Town proud of you today even in defeat Hypocrite! Funny and reasonably astute but I did not block anyone's view and sat down again

Seems to me like you just need to make that final step and become a Reading fan and then your transformation will be complete What an astute posting the fact that I am able to compare both Towns having lived in both, appears to have passed you by. As does the fact that I am a season ticket holder and most likely go to more games than you a season, but please don't let facts stop you posting absolute bollocks.

Reading is one of these soulless places. Just a shopping centre with houses. Not a bit of character. And as for near the ground, awful. It's only on visiting places like Reading that you can truly appreciate wonderful places like Huddersfield and its surrounding areas. Granted, the Town centre needs a 'lick of paint'. But there are some cracking pubs, interesting 'nooks and crannies' and if there is a better entrance from a train station to a Town or City centre than walking out on to St Georges square. I have done it so many times but still stop and have a look round and admire as I come out of the station for home matches. Are you blind? a once thriving Town is now dead on its feet I was born and raised in Huddersfield and still call it home even though I moved away 32 years ago but the Town has depreciated to the extent that it is mostly £ shops and charity shops in the Town Centre. You obviously dont know Reading if you think it's soulless ( I am not comparing it to Yorkshire) but compared to Reading Huddersfield Town centre needs knocking down and rebuilding not just a lick of paint.

Every club has their village idiot, seems we have encountered theirs today. Hes a WUM, and I think it worked. Or another way to look at it is he is a young man and in his time as a Reading fan they have done better than Town. And this is a reasoned point from someone who lives in Reading but travels to every Town game and has watched them in division 1 ( now premier) who is proud of what we have achieved in our History but wants to live in the future not the past.

It's been a great weekend but time to look forward to our next opponents. We have an initial allocation of 1373 which should sell out with us being top of the league and the feel good factor being at record levels. Who's going and how will we do ? Personally I will be disappointed with owt less than a draw, Reading have a midweek game against Brighton, hopefully that will help us. Can't see many changes to the starting 11 and I'm going for yet another 2-1 victory. I'm going, my home game this and I will probably be sat with the Reading fans so I hope to hear lots of noise from the Town fans, quickest way as I do it every other week. M1 to M69 Turning straight after Leicester Forest M69 to A46 Warwick ( dual carriage way ) all way to M40 roadworks just about finished M40 to junction 4 Wycombe turn right across island to A 404 A404 to M4 turn right at bottom M4 Reading M4 junction 11 then look out for A33 old Basingstoke Road Park in Holiday in £6 good bar at Hotel Walk to ground 10 mins You can continue down the M1 to junction 15a Northampton ( services exit) then follow M40 directions through Silverstone to M40 then follow same directions to ground as above

Then give 'em another week on top, just so that they realise the severity of the crime. Too many people stood up. I paid a premium! How did you know? We sat in the Platinum Club Milburn Stand padded seats, bang on the halfway line ( with the Newcastle fans) no one standing. The support from the Town fans was brilliant but having been there before ( sat in the same place) I did not fancy standing up all game trying to see the players. For your information when Town scored the winner there must have been another 30/40 doing the same as us.

Why is it a bad move why are you adopting such a selfish attitude? I don't want some druken idiot standing up in front of me either at home or away. I sit in the upper because you pay a premium, and people behave and have respect for others around them. Just what makes you think you are right? And you can stand up and block everyone's view just sit down or move somewhere else No premium pal and its common knowledge the folk who go in the SS when permitted,ie NSL were taking out their season cards and the seats of the Riverside Upper, u must have known this early doors and anyway you know it now so if you dont like it dont be the arsehole do one and swap your season card for another seat in another stand still lots of availability everywhere, get with the agenda/program to make the matchday a better atmosphere/experience ! What a load of rubbish I have sat in the same seat for 20 years why should I move ? if the price goes back next year to the same as last year then the problem goes away all I am asking is that you just show respect for others around you. It's obviously to difficult a situation to resolve this season because the tickets have been sold. But if the stewards say sit down please and you ignore them then if they throw you out you only have yourself to blame.

You make your own judgment it's never been an issue before in 20 years, people who have paid a premium every year are now having to put up with people trying to impose there ridiculous ways on others we sit in the upper tier because we want to watch the game Sat down without someone beating a drum and others standing up blocking people's view. It's not me not showing respect, it's everyone who just refuses to sit down also it may not have dawned on you but most of the people around us including me are over 60,and yes in my opinion these fans who want to stand and block the view of people behind and are being selfish. ( and in a lot of instances drunk) cases drunk) I'm in the NSL and I've never entered the Town ground drunk in all the time it has been built. Just because folk want to stand and sing doesn't make them drunks Just put this into some sort of prespective let's say you go to the cinema and two rows of people in front of you stand up and stop you watching are you happy? Also if you read the post it says in a lot of instances. Nobody is playing the age card it's just a fact I have had the same seats for 20 years as has everyone around me in that time standing up has never been an issue. Why is this simple statement of fact so difficult to accept? I don't care if you all want to stand on your bloody heads just don't do it when it effect others

Why? Nearly everyone on here is saying allow us to stand up and F--- everyone else. I sit in the upper and have always paid a premium for the seat because I don't want some idiot standing up in front of me. The only reason this is a issue is because there is no premium this time ( which is a mistake in my opinion) and these people who have never been in this stand before, now want to impose there selfish behaviour on others who have always sat there and simply don't want to have this kind of behaviour. I understand what you are saying - but you are broadly labelling people who stand at the football as drunken idiots - this is not the case. NSL, in accordance with the club, booked the first the first three sections of The Upper Tier, so this circumstance would not occur. It was widely publicised so people were grouped together, those that like to stand at the football (not drunk or an idiot) To say they don't respect other fans is absolutely not true. Sure there are some drunken idiots, but they appear in all stands don't they? I have sat in every stand over the years and i've seen many a drunk acting the fool, in an executive box also. You ask for respect but don't give it yourself. You make your own judgment it's never been an issue before in 20 years, people who have paid a premium every year are now having to put up with people trying to impose there ridiculous ways on others we sit in the upper tier because we want to watch the game Sat down without someone beating a drum and others standing up blocking people's view. Once again Town shoot themselves in the foot. But not before we spend our hard earned. They want a full ground but don't want anyone to upset anyone in the posh seats by actually getting behind the team!!!. Stand!! oh my god how did we manage before all seater stadiums. Again i will probably spend more of my hard earned at away games than down at the library. Bad move Town bad move Why is it a bad move why are you adopting such a selfish attitude? Having looked at the NW thread I think some people on here simply need to get a life.
Firstly I fail to see the point in bad language and I would propose that the person who controls this board prevents people using the F&C words it's simply disgusting and in my opinion shows a lack of intelligence.
Also at the same time the name TED should be banned ( sorry for the decent ones with the same name) in whatever format it appears,as simply winding people up and hurling insults at people is only funny in one persons mind.
We are all Town fans,we all have opinions but let's just cut out the constant abuse and backbiting that goes on in some of the mindless posts that are allowed to appear on here.
I do understand that it is difficult sometimes not to respond as I have been guilty of it myself ( but no bad language) but can we all please try to be happy and cut put the foul language and abuse.
I will give this posting less than 5 responses before some really clever person produces a two word response so well done in advance,so let me be the first to wish them all a merry Xmas

Punctuation, as in burst your supercilious balloon ? Give it a rest ?.,! No, not really. Some of us prefer not to have to decipher posts, just because some idle buggers can't be arsed to present their point(s) properly. Everyone is prone to the odd typo now and again, but the post I quoted is just another example of abject laziness. There's nothing supercilious about expecting posters to respect the readership and take a bit of pride in what they present. How do you know he is Idle? when I went to School, if you can call it a school Salendine Nook, Gerard the cretin woodwork teacher, Ned the Headmaster Miss Brunning, none of them really cared about the pupils education and most of us who left in 1971 had no clue on punctuation. Perhaps some on here are not as talented as others, but they don't need reminding of it by you.
