I assume you weren't near me then. Obviously not What's wrong with going to Anfield and wanting to listen to YNWA ? the first time I went in 1970 and the Kop sang YNWA it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. We are going to a football match we are not going to War, and all the rude hand gestures ( even from kids who don't even know what they mean ) seem pointless to me I love Town as much as anyone but don't feel the need to demean myself with foul language and disrespecting long held traditions from other clubs.

I thought this was going to be a post about people standing up. Have to say no one moaned at all round us yesterday. As for young uns going, if they enjoy their day then there is no waste. I can start a post about people standing up if you want? my legs and back were killing me and some people insisted on standing up on the steps which were very difficult to walk up and down. It's a genuine moan for someone over 60 with bad legs ( calipars ) who has difficulty standing and walking but does not want to be classed as disabled

I think just about the only thing that is annoying me in this first top division season in my 45 years of supporting town is this tendency amongst some to veer horribly from one extreme to another based on a single result. We win, we're amazing and world beaters, we lose and we're crap. I've got enough crazy optimism for my team as the next idiot - I always thought that one season the the top league would do me whatever happened but a few games in and I want more. I want to go again next season and the season after, learning gradually how to feel we can go into games against the top 6 with more than just blind hope. I think we can based on what I've seen but the only point we will truly know is May. Until then we will lose some games, sometimes horribly and win some games, often gloriously. We will throw away points and get lucky. We have the best manager we could hope for and a full stadium creating atmosphere many thought wasn't possible at the new stadium. Today I'm disappointed but last Saturday I was as high as I've ever been watching town. I get the feeling that pattern is going to get repeated a number of times but some thought that this season might be one defeat after another. We aren't little Huddersfield - we deserve to.be here but today didn't work. Dust ourselves down and go again. I want to be playing these teams next season and talking about improving the results time on time. Step by step. Brilliant post, like you I was on a fantastic high last week but yesterday it seemed such a short walk from the car to the ground before the match, but it appeared to take ages to walk back to the car after the game.Lets hope we have the same feeling at the end of the season as after the Man United match.

At this current rate we will have 48 points with two games to go and be pushing for a Europa League place.Still up on the ceiling from yesterday ( at 61 years old as well) going down to the newsagent to buy at least 3 Sunday papers then going to Costa to read them making sure I spread them out all over the table ( at the Town report page of course) then going to William Hills to collect my money. I simply carn't stop

AS USUAL MOST OF THE NEGATIVE POSTERS ARE QUICK TO KNOCK A GOOD IDEA. IF ANY ONE CARES TO LOOK AT MY PREVIOUS POSTS I HAVE ALWAYS ADVOCATED A POINT SYSTEM FOR ALL FANS NOT JUST SEASON TICKET HOLDERS. WHILST THE ROTHERHAM POST WAS SLIGHTLY TONGUE IN CHEEK I THINK EVERY FAN SHOULD HAVE A POINTS REWARD CARD TO GIVE ALL FANS A FAIR CHANCE TO GET TICKETS. A LOT OF CLUBS OPERATE THE FOLLOWING SYSTEM 100 Points for a season ticket 20 points for the purchase of an away ticket through the club The club keeps a record of the supporters attendance at away games and the tickets are sold to the highest points total this gives fans who are unable to afford a season ticket but go to all the away games a better chance of getting tickets to games with a high demand for tickets and rewards season ticket holders for the advanced purchase of the season ticket. Capitals at the start are for the minority who can never post a positive comment and to all thoes, you know who you are say SS must start every game Mmmmmmmm very interesting Mr P1 who wouldn't have a different opinion. It's no good I will never Love you,so I will have to let you down gently I am fortunately a P1 fan and if you can read English I am proposing a system that gives others who go away frequently a better chance of getting a ticket, thus reducing my chance and you can find fault with me for this? As I said I can never Love you as you simply don't understand me,goodbye now and I hope you find someone to Love who writes as much rubbish as you.

Sorry I have an excuse, try typing on an I Pad with your left hand only, but I don't want to start a thread moaning about it. I was just saying that you can get the mushrooms described in Waitrose don't give me a Rocket for that. I hate to think what you were doing with your right hand at the time.... Not much, I have nerve damage from a recent operation to my right hand and both feet, but I am not moaning

Lucky you, I only go to watch Town play and I don't think we played them in the years you went, so are you perhaps a secret Liverpool fan?. Seen 200 England games, 50 Spurs, 50 man United, 50 Wisla Krakow, 50 plus Halmstad and probably 20 Hammarby...i am a footy fan. I watched St Mirren when i lived in Paisley. Seen Stalybridge 50 odd times and used to watch Woodley a lot. I saw Town reserves hundreds of times as a lad and have certainly seen 1000 plus Town matches. Cambodia v French restauranteurs..Chiang Mai v Bangkok University, Mandrem v Sporting Club de Goa and Lidhult ladies v Tvaaker. 7 World cups and 8 European champions...5 UEFA cup finals. What contest are you taking part in now?

Erm, zero news apart from ticket sale details which is what you are whining about. You really are becoming MeldrewOtium. (I expect you'll deny knowledge of that reference Sister called me Meldrew years ago. OK, why do some tickets go up two weeks in advance and some one month? Am i expected to check the town website every 5 minutes? They ahve the email of all the 15,000 season ticket holders ...drop us a fucking line!!!!! Think thats my fourth "fucking" (fifth) on here in 10 years. I wonder if you will have your spelling corrected? I will contemplate why we have chips with everything on this forum whilst driving to Liverpool and Bournemouth and possibly at the game on Saturday

"I have to watch what I say, but it's [having] a bit of cojones, is what I'll say. Whenever I play against Arsenal, I'll go up and think 'let me whack the first one and see who wants it.'Troy Deeney This is what we are missing.... Easy when you get a penalty for a dive and are offside in the 2nd goal and not flagged. Still it's probably that attitude that got him through prison Why be nasty and mention prison? There is nothing wrong with playing with aggression look at Kean and Shearer or Mc Gill and Barry Horne but perhaps you have something bad to say about them as well?

Wagner out, then. He's obviously shit. Either that or he needs to read this thread. Who said that? To be honest I'm pissed off you've replied like that. You are one of the better posters on here. It's a genuine point I'm making about a problem which is glaringly obvious. You can't say it isn't every pundit from sky to BBC keep mentioning how we are struggling to score goals. It is a knee jerk reaction everyone was happy up to the Burnley game we made 3 mistakes against Spurs and got punished and one of the goals was a lucky break after a tackle the same yesterday a bad mistake and a lucky break from a good tackle. DW is not going to shut any game down from the kick off and who knows what would have happened yesterday if we had scored,we just need a bit of luck to get us back up and running. Just remember Burnley was only two games ago

P1 or a sponsor Reading by any chance ? Both and have been a sponsor for 10 years and a season ticket holder for 30 years look up where the main sponsor for the Spurs game is based.

If we stay up, i think the away fixture list should be categorised, A,B,C, based on previous season positions. Top 6 teams in A, 6 mid table teams B and bottom 7 C. The current system stays the same but P1 members can only purchase 2 A games throughout the season, 3 B games and 4 C games. P2 members can purchase 1 A game, 2 B games and 3 C games. Etc etc. Gives everyone a fair crack. How is what you are suggesting fair? The system is not flawed it's the fans interpretation of what they want to hear. Are you going to Swansea (tickets still available ) did you go to WestHam on a Monday night when the game was on Sky? What all the moaning is about is that Liverpool as well as being a big game is only 60 miles away Burnley 30 miles away Manchester 30 miles away just coincidence that fans are happy to travel locally and moan when they don't get tickets but as I said these same fans will not be at Southampton in December and there won't be a sound out of them.

Every time a big game comes around we get the same 5/10 page thread moaning about how unfair it is that P1 fans get first choice along with sponsors and box holders, what do you expect Town to do? We get 3,000 tickets for most away games and Town have to look after the sponsors and what they consider to be their most loyal fans.
I understand the main sponsorship is worth £1/1.5 million per year, boxes cost £15k per year plus food and drink, and to sponsor a game as the main sponsor is £6k per game plus food and drink how can Town tell these sponsors they carn't have tickets?.
When you then add the 4,000 priority one fans into the equation, can someone put forward a reasoned argument how Town can split 3,000 tickets between all the sponsors and 4,000 P1 supporters without upsetting a lot of fans.
Let's get off the clubs back and just accept the situation,as no amount of complaining is going to change things and if you are a season card holder you will still see the big teams at home.
It might just be a coincidence but I bet there are no posts about not getting tickets for Southampton away this year.

I think you have it totally wrong in your interpretation and it was a spontaneous and generous reaction - but it's not really worth fratching about. Mind you I think that Stand Up if You Love The Town is truly embarrassing and tinpot. However, I agree that no one will be clapping Bony off. Fair enough. People were clapping for different reasons I do accept that. I'm not really an England fan & I didn't think he did anything particularly special so for me it seemed way ott. I clapped Kane off as did most of us in the seats by the tunnel I also had to watch and admire the Spurs players and the football they played.Town have been beaten this season by two teams who nullify there pressing game WHU who just knock it long on every occasion, and Spurs who passed it around us so quickly with one touch passing we could not get near enough to close them down. On saying this I thought DW got his Tactics spot on and if we had not made those silly mistakes I think we would have witnessed one of the best games of the season ( but we will never know) In my opinion I think most Town fans were taken back by the quality of the Spurs passing and Kane's finishing and the clapping was a reflection of the way they came to win the game and how clinical they were. Anyway I clapped and although we lost it was good to see such a top quality side at the JS stadium and the good thing is we can see them again next year.

He picked me up on my language, education and attendance earlier. I forgot to tell him that I was there and also that I'm educated to Masters level with a distinction. My first class honours degree dissertation won a National award and I was pursued for PhD research. I also never told him that I am extremely handsome but a little bit short. Well hung apparently. Now back to the real matter, the important matter. Why start a witch hunt about one of our own players? Why would anybody do that? Especially, a person who doesn't swear. Mr F - is that you? Doesn't swear, at least not on here, and you forgot, likes to sit down in the seat provided at away games, why am I like this? Just think how much better my posts would be received if all my posts consisted of effing and jeffing

What language are you speaking ? can you please repeat in English English, pretty obvious seen as though they are all English words. You should try it, instead of troll. Grow up, troll indeed, its a point of principal, diving is spoiling the game you don't like it when the opposition do it against us and it needs stamping out,and in my opinion if all players got a retrospective 3 match ban it would stop overnight and make the game of football far better.
