The official site says sales are 60% up, so that equates to just under 9,400 sold last season.

15023 But 31 bought to help kids so not even 15000 were sold FOR A TOWN THAT REALLY DOESNT SUPPORT ITS FOOTBALL AND RUGBY TEAMS I THINK THAT IS A DECENT RETURN.

Exactly. 15,000 - 60% = 6,000 6,000 + 60% is only 9,600 9,500 + 60% = 15,000 Jarvis has mention on Facebook that we have shifted 10% of the Huddersfield population, which from the 2011 census which was 162,949, so is he rounding down? For those lacking 10% = 16,294

We sold around 9000 last season. If it was 6000, we would have had a 150% increase, but it was a 60% increase.

who gives a shit how many we've sold? let's just smash this league next season. Not many places sell season tickets to 10% of its population. It was a bit dissapointing, but most places would love to sell such a high percentage of its population even at £179.

Like any business, sometimes they have to take a punt.
The proof of the pudding is more likely to result in what happens on the pitch rather than off it. It's now up to DW and the players to build some momentum & prove how much VFM was offered & those that failed to take it (or were unable to) might be kicking themselves come June next yr...
29 pages of conspiracy, histrionics & drama with a bit of bear baiting by opposing fans - so pretty much par for the course on here...

I have absolutely no doubt that If that list was done by area and not population we would be up there. The Mrs is from Dudley and it ain't that big you just won't find a patch of grass anywhere due to houses crammed in.

Dont bother mate, its not worth the hassle, let them carry on speculating. Sorry I dont know if that was aimed at me or not, but if it was, how is reading from our commercial manager, we've had a 60% increase in sales and coming to the conclusion we sold approximately 9000, speculating, especially as I remember the figure being around 9000? Again, sorry if I've misunderstood you.

Not aimed at anyone in particular, but last seasons total, which i know to be correct and the 9500 quoted now is way out,i have no idea why and dont really care but we never sold 9k season tickets last season. Like i say I'm not bothered what people believe and have no desire to get into any argument, those that know me know i dont bullshit.

Most floating fans are more interested in pretending to be fans of Man U, Liverpool and Chelsea ect. Think back to the Liverpool game where the stands were full of pretend Liverpool 'fans' from Huddersfield. Tells you all you need to know about the general mentality of the modern floating fan, if Town ever got to the Premier the same folk would be clamouring to be lifelong Town fans for a season.
15K is a good return, should be some cracking atmospheres this season and hopefully and more importantly an improvement on last season in terms of the football. Anyway roll on Saturday when we can get back to moaning about team selections and tactics !!!

I also dont want to get into an argument, but its pretty much in black and white how many were sold last season.

It's often been said - drop the price and fill the ground. Great job - the details and minutiae don't matter.
