'Twas ever thus. I remember Cowling getting stick but Lille's could do no wrong, and Mitchell was always to blame, never Jackson.

Jesus, let it go Morley! Hudson got the stick for the Fulham debacle because he was awful on the day, and still is our worst defensive option today. Pointless comparing the two games because then you'd have to say that we lost away at Preston with Hudson in defence but then beat them at home without him. Barring injuries and the unlikely prospect of us securing a play-off place early enough to give Schindler/Heff a rest before the play-off game Mark is history. Let the poor lad lie in peace! Having said that, DW will probably bring him back in to create a back five for the next three games in a clever Teutonic plan to secure our place via 3 X 0-0 draws.. I agree with you here. My points though are still valid, there is one rule for one and another for others depending on the name of the Player Like certain people with Billing?

Ah, trying to be clever but you need to get up earlier my friend. I have previously only posted positive things about Billing but am running out of patience based on him in my opinion continually failing to deliver against the undoubted promise he has. Try again.

I stand corrected. My post was based on the abuse he was receiving yesterday by several on here.

Please stop scapegoating Billing, we had 11 players on the pitch yesterday, 10 of them could have been subbed. Billing's subbing was tactical & should be made at half time - UTT.

You think it's unlikely that we'll take 2 points from our next 2 games? I'm not saying it's nailed on or owt, but that seems unduly pessimistic.

Expect the worst then you are delighted if things go better than expected, that's my plan for surviving the next two weeks! However...Wolves have won their last two home games and Birmingham are in amongst that group of teams we "should have beaten" including Forest, Blackburn, Wigan and Burton and fighting for survival and we aren't pulling up any trees at the moment so I don't think we can count any chickens at this stage. Happy to be proved wrong on Tuesday though, and then DW can pick the team in alphabetic order for the last two games as far as I'm concerned. Billing in goal, Bunn right back......front three of Ward, Wells and Whitehead.

I'm certainly not counting any chickens (there's a joke in there somewhere about real vs reported attendances at Valley Parade) but I'm looking at the next 2 games optimistically. This time on Saturday I'm confident that we'll be mathematically secure in the top 6.

This time on Saturday I'm confident that we'll be mathematically secure in the top 6. Well I certainly hope we are. For years I have arrived at games with hope rather than expectation. This season has been totally different and up to very recently I have gone to games genuinely not expecting to lose. Not always expecting to win, mind you, but confident we could get a result of some sort. I am kind of wobbling a bit at the moment tbh, I need a good performance and a win to straighten my spine up again. Tuesday would be a nice time to get the promotion train out of the sidings and back on the main line. UTT!
