He was at fault for their penalty, allowed a simple cross to go over him in the box and that led to his handball, which I didn't see clearly enough to know whether it was correct or otherwise.
Was beaten in the air too many times and also made an absolute hash of it with the ball at his feet more than once.
Had some good moments too but it was a poor team and he still cost us a goal. Yet to see him have an 8/10 or better.

I'm no fan of his but we've won both the games in which he's played and lost the one when he didn't, so he must have some influence. Or maybe it means the others have to up their games.

I'll trust the judgement of David Wagner over some of the clowns that inhabit the internet.

I'll trust the judgement of David Wagner over some of the clowns that inhabit the internet. As I've just posted somewhere else on here, David Wagner's view of Mark Hudson: leader, communicator, organiser, and tough. Why would people laud Wagner's judgment generally but question his judgment of his captain? Last season we performed better in the games he played than when he was absent. And we've started off this season the same. So give the guy a break.

Judging by Twitter he is well loved by the other players in the squad. That counts for an awful lot.

Like others have said, not my favourite player, but we have won both games he started, lost when he didn't play. Thought he was unlucky today for the penalty against him, l always thought handball had to be deliberate, but yet again a poor referee who was swayed all the time by the crowd. So give the guy a break, UTT

Anyone prepared to give him credit? Played well, but his type of game today. Wasn't going to be exposed by players running at him at pace.

Don't rate him, never will, seen him have far too many terrible games that have cost us. Having said that Wagner sees something and Powell before him so full credit to him if he played well today (I wasn't there).

But he seems to be a good captain. Am not sure on him, ad like to see a replacement, but if he keeps doing well fair enouth.

Congratulations Mark on your 450th appearance. I think you're as wonderful a captain as we could hope for. Thanks for your contribution to our football club.

There's always a mistake in Mark, but at this level and in our price range that's going to be the case. Thought he played very well today and thought the hand ball was harsh. Think his comeuppance will be when teams run at him, but none of them seem to have figured it out yet (Or mooy and hogg are fantastic at putting him in that position). Players like him, Wagner likes him, if Wagner doesn't think the others can take his place at the minute I trust him. Odd that some fans love Wagner up until playing Hudson and just seem to think he is massively wrong on one position. Nore- Hudson will make an error which leads to a goal, that goal may mean the other team win. I do not look forward to that day.

Played well today - as he has done a lot more than given credit for! I don't worry about teams running at him....slow on the turn etc as much as others because he reads the game reasonably well but I do fear against teams who have a big man and go long into him because he ain't the best aerially. Gestede will cause us problems on Tues if we let him..........but today was a great example of a team being driven on by an experienced skipper and delivering. When it happens the results are often better than putting out your best 11 footballers individually

When it happens the results are often better than putting out your best 11 footballers individually He does read the game well and is supposed to be a good captain and this sometimes seems to compensate well from him. But his distribution is awful, he's poor in the air, can't jump and is extremely slow. I don't think many would disagree with this - these shortcomings are frequently very apparent. In light of this, I just can't see us not being a stronger outfit with Hefele or Stankovic in instead. I think Hudson's going to cost us goals again this season if keeps starting. But Wagner disagrees so what do I know.

Didn't go today so can't comment though i saw the highlights and thought the pen was harsh.
Ive seen more than enough of him over the past 2 years to know i don;t want him in our team though and that somethings gone badly wrong if we've spent a lot of money on 3 centre backs and hes still playing.

So badly wrong we've got six points from the two games he's played in?

I'm pretty sure he's a placeholder while the new lads signed from German football settle in.

So youre giving him the credit then. Every fan ive spoken to about the brentford game agrees we got 3 points despite him not because of him. Hes an obvious weak link thats needed replacing for ages and after spending a fortune on 3 new centre backs hes still playing- so yes id say something gone wrong at this moment in time regarding replacing him.

Im loving today mate. But if theres an obvious deficiency in the team that can be improved on then I'll not ignore it.
