Top performance from him today I thought he did pretty well by his standards. Two excellent challenges, one excellent clearance. But several occasions whereby he got beaten in the air (without a challenge) and at least 2 occasions where players skipped round him as if he want there. Sorry to be a doom Lord but I maintain that he's going to cost us before long. I think we've been really fortunate he hasn't already.

Anyone prepared to give him credit? Bump I thought he had a good game. I love the way Schindler gets his foot to balls you don't see how he can but Hudson was solid. One poor pass that I remember but he was not alone in that, we had a couple that nearly cost us. I thought his distribution was better and even when they started pumping it long the centre backs, mostly, looked very solid. The five of them at the back look like a very good unit, and I still think it is early days.

There will be occasions when all players will cost us this season! Ward saved us today but cost us at Shrewsbury! Whitehead very nearly cost us last week against Barnsley. It's almost as if some WANT him to make a mistake that leads to a goal conceded to be proved right! A clean sheet and top of the league and still folk go on like it's despite his presence and not because he is helping out a TEAM performance. Individually others may be better but Wagner clearly thinks the TEAM with Hudson as part of it is currently better than the sum of other individuals.

For once, in a long time i felt a little secure when they were pumping it forward. I think that was down largely Lowe & schindler who looked a different class.

Schindler was brilliant for me today. Agreed, some good old fashioned sliding tackles as well. Thought they were redundant from the modern game.

Clean sheet, 3 points. Defence developing. Hef will get his chance when suspensions kick in.

You talk as if I've not mentioned some of the very good things he did....I have credited him and I want him to do well. But he stands out, he makes so many mistakes, so I think it is dispite his presence. We look vulnerable when the ball gets pumped route one into the box, almost every time and it's a prerequisite that centre halves are able to challenge adequately in our own area - he gets bullied too often. That's the way I see it every time I've watched him. Clean sheet and 1-0 win, yes, great, exceptional - but does that mean we shouldn't look at where we can improve? People talk about his presence - well what about Hefele, how do we know he might not develop a presence if he got a run in the side? This is where I think DW could do with looking at and I think it's only a matter of time until he does.

Win, lose, draw - he's hard work to watch. Sorry Keith - I'm trying.

Ive been one of his biggest critics but Hudson was immense today, his distribution was much improved from he Barnsley game, alongside 'Rolls Royce' Schindy what a top partnership they have formed ....all in all the defence and keeper top class perhaps the best for many years

Of all the things to criticise Hudson for his ability to deal with route one football isn't what I'd expect. He's fine when the ball is launched in the air. His difficulty is when players get to run at him. The team has been set up effectively to stop that happening on too many occasions this season so Hudson has largely been fine. He's also erratic in possession, but compared to Wolves' centre halves today he looked like David Silva on the ball. Plus, I think he brings enough to the table to compensate for a slack pass every now and then.

To criticise him when people run at him is a bit too obvious - I can forgive him for his lack of mobility. But as our biggest player today, I can't get over how weak he is when challenging aerially in our own area. Far too many balls are won inside our own box.
