I can't comment on whether they were offside or not, but jeez, that free kick given to them just before it against Brown. That looked ridiculous.

Ref actually having a good game so far, trying to let it flow. All we have to do is breathe on them and he's giving it, though. And we're not getting the same.

The REF today was absolutely.........who cares I was actually hoping that their goal was "good" and ours was offside. It would make it even sweeter.

Shite again. I hope that fat, bald chump chokes on his Sunday roast. I've just watched the last 10 minutes of the game back and Sky commentators were going on about how well he had reffed the game. BOLLOX The worst bit was when Brown got a forearm smash in the face and he gave them a free kick.

Watching from tv, i thought the ref did well in a really tough game to officiate in. He tried to let it flow as much as he could. You are bound to make the odd wrong call in a game like that. My only gripe is Bridcutt didn't get booked early doors then subsequently sent off.

Personally I thought he was a complete dipstick. Gave them plenty of fouls that were extremely soft, then didn't give us free kicks for fouls that were as bad, if not worse. At times I felt like even if one of our players was shot that we'd be lucky if he gave us a free kick.

What about the two footed lunge on Van la Parra in the first half?

I'm all for refs letting the game flow, but he consistently pulled us up for incoulous challenges in the first half then didn't reciprocate similar challenges against us in the second. The linesmen were also completely shit. I'm gonna watch it again tonigh, but he appeared biased borderline bent from where I was sat.

Another incompetent ref, offside or not for their goal, it wasn't a free kick plus the blatant handball a second before the free kick was given.

Realised that he wasn't consistent in his approach to the game. Giving them niggley fouls whilst our players had to be man handled to the floor... And even on one occasion got nothing except a throw in.

How is it we consistently get shocking referees, with the exception of the ref on Thursday night, I can't remember a decent one at home in the league this season. This ref did definitely appear to favour L666s In every decision.

Failed to set the correct tone early on with bridcutt foul and leeds took advantage with late tackles all game. Our players carried on regardless which showed great character.

Sorry for digging this thread up,but no one has mentioned the refs. at the Wolves or Hull games.Proof that these buffoons are in a class of their own. Failed to give 2nd yellow to Marcovic, and guess what he scores the winner for Newcastle. And how did Clattenburg miss that Cheating little Chilean handing the ball into the net for Arsenal after consulting his fellow clown?

Initially, I thought that the ref at QPR was a "homer", because he should have given yellows to their players for bad fouls on Brown and VLP. However, he was just pretty poor, as a few very iffy decisions went our way. That did not include Schindler's foot to hand incident, which was probably correct. One farcical "non-throw-in" would have normally led to chants of "you don't know what you're doing", but I imagine that was the lino's fault.

Referee was good last night, officiated the game well and let the game flow. Refreshing to see a proper ref after some of the dross we have had lately.

The bloke we had last night can referee us every week to be honest. He was one of the first refs we have had all season not to want to be the centre of attention by blowing his whistle every 30 seconds when there is contact between players. Just compare it to saturdays ref, when any touch on a player was punished outside the box, leading to an almost non contact game, which was just stop start and didnt allow the game to flow at all. Yesterday he mostly just let the tackles fly in, stopped the game when he needed to and didnt buy any of the little pushes and nudges. We have had some absolutely rubbish referees this season who just want to stop the game all the time, make players go back a few yards at throw ins and free kicks, and spend ages explaining every decision to the players so credit where it is due.

Last nights referee was Chris Kavanagh who has just been promoted (along with David Coote who reffed the recent game away at Bristol and Town fan Andy Madley) to the 'Select Group One' meaning that he can referee premier league games. Last night was the fourth Town game refereed by Kavanagh this season having done Barnsley at home, Ipswich away & Forest at home (all wins). He did ok for me.

Was nice to see a ref actually have a decent game for once rather than being an incompetent fuckwit. Did reasonably well I thought. Better than probably 95% of the refs we've had this season, the majority of which have basically been shit for both teams (and it says a lot that even when we've won games the ref has been rubbish more often than not so it's hardly sour grapes blaming the ref every time we lose).

Having watched the game through again Hefele can thank his lucky stars he stayed on after the elbow incident. The last thing we need is a three game ban for him.
