Philip billing, Got a good shot, a long throw, now and then a good pass. For his size shite in the air, lazy, can’t tackle, sulks, takes his bat and ball home!!! £15million pounds thanks very much, 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Billing has always been one of my favourites tbh, I'm disappointed to have seen him fall foul of the manager. Clearly, there's been a lot happen behind the scenes, and that what happened was clearly irreconcilable. Personally I wish him all the best and hope that if he does ever reach the dizzying highs of his potential, we'll be in a position to have him back in the blue and white. I'm really sorry, but I don't agree with any of this.

Not really sure where he’ll fit in at Bournemouth tbh. They tend to play a fast-breaking attacking style - see Ryan Fraser as an example. Can only see him playing DM, but tackling is not a great strength nor is harrying and chasing. Might not even be a starter, £15m for a squad player is peanuts in the PL.

I hope we have a big sell on... 50% as we could as easily pick up 50k on his sale to bury as 60M on his sale to real Madrid.

I went off him after Southampton at home. He was the senior midfielder that game. With us short on midfielders. We needed him to take the game by the scruff of the neck. With his ability, talent and how he had been playing he could have. Plus on paper he was the best player in the lineups.
He didn't he vanished, he might have scored, but the goal was lucky.

They've bought him because hes got potential. In reality hes nothing special. I'm pretty confident that he'll end up at a lower division side either here or abroad.

Hes obviously burned his bridges with Town and thats evidenced in a lot of opinions about him as a player IMO.
For me, he was one of the few we had who actually looked comfortable at prem level. His languid style hides how effective he was in terms of distances covered, tackles, clearences, etc as the stats prove.
In today crazy market i think £15m is actually about £5m light for him, but when its so clear to all and sundry that he has no future here, to the point he wasn;t even given a squad number, then that is obviously going to effect his price. In the end, taking that into account , then £15m is a decent enough price.
Be interesting to see how he gets on at a more established prem club. But they are taking a chance on him because of his attitude, or perhaps because hes been easily lead by bad advice.. maybe an agent or family. He could go on to be a top player if he gets his head right, so hope we have a decent sell on clause in all this.

More tackles per game than any of our players last season and 15th best in the entire Premier League last season. If tackling isn't a great strength of his maybe he's a far better player than most people are making out.

The difference is the man, not the transfer. When we sold Boothy to Wednesday, we were all sad, but wished him well in the Prem', I even remember watching MOTD to see how he go on. When he came home we were pleased to have him back, and now he's a legend.
Billing big hair, thanks for the money, could not care less if I never see you again.

We are no longer looking for players with a high skill level like Billing has - get the ball/hoof it forward to Grant/ he smacks it into the back of the net/wonderful stuff

Billing is modern premier league all round midfielder. His breakthrough season didn’t go as I’d hoped but he’s done enough to get another prem contract at £15M. The best Town could’ve done under the circumstances. I expect to see him being given license to run and break forward for Bournemouth- play in likes of Fraser, Wilson et al but also to get plenty of shots off himself.

He likes a diagonal crossfield pass, but they are never incisive. Just one reason why I'd rather have Bacuna.

From all the various press releases home and abroad the most consistent figures are Diakhaby 9m euro Mbenza 2.5m euro loan fee, 12.5m euro transfer fee The mind boggles Not close. (Not that we can really be quoting a fee paid for Mbenza this summer and bemoaning the lack of games he played last season (even though it was around 20 more than zero)). Mbenza transfer fee is less than £5m. Ask the owner of the club, he’ll happily tell you. This.

Billing has a lot of ability and a lot of potential, but with the money they earn these days (even at HTFC) any player who goes off on a sulk or thinks he's too big for the club should always be shown the door. I think £15 million plus a sell on is good business for us.
Interesting that VLP was making similar noises but after a season struggling to make an impact at Middlesbrough, and with no offers coming on, he now seems happy to be back.

15 million? We’ve had Bournemouth’s pants down. Makes a change as it’s usually us being stiffed. Question: If we're usually being stiffed, how have we progressed over the last ten years, whilst not being a big spender? Answer: We haven't generally been stiffed; we've done it by doing more good business than most other clubs. I'm not typing them all out but have a gander here.. Long list of ex players.. plenty will spring to mind as being crap or wanted away for whatever reason. We have done good business as well, not saying we haven't but there's plenty of names you will have forgotten about. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Huddersfield_Town_A.F.C._players

Transfers constantly don't work out, which is why you see so many transfers every window - you just remember our cock-ups.
