You would have Billing above Hogg? Depends who is playing. They always have their best games when not playing, so Billing is currently the better player, but once he is picked, and Hogg is on the bench, then of course, we missed Hogg. DATM fact😀 I’m suprised anyone would put Billing ahead of Hogg or suggest we miss him. He was awful before his injury. Definitely a weaker side when Billing is in the team.

One thing the lad does - Billing - is look for a forward pass. I'm not deranged but look how Fabregas often sets Morata or Hazard off with a longish sort of pass. We don't try that much, but I reckon Depoitre would like a few of those served up per match. We don't seem to dish up many forward passes at the moment. If Billing was fit - he would be getting some minutes.

Weaker defensively with Billing but stronger offensively. Billing can play passes that Hogg simply can't, and would chip in with a few goals. In games against the bottom half, Billing should start all if fit imo

He has a better range of passing, more vision and is more creative than Hogg & Williams. Weaker defensively though. A definite starter for me.

Hopefully its right Brighton want him as well as he might go for a bit more if a bidding war starts.

I would be quite happy if we sold Billing for £15m, I am not going to start knocking Billing but if he is wanting to leave it will obviously benefit the club quite substantially, If he does eventually leave for Bournemouth I would wish him all the best for the future.

£15m plus add ons AND that’s with him devaluing himself due to his comments and publically showing he’s surplus to requirements.. Reading Terrier & Otium.. you’ve gone quiet lads?! Thought he’d go for peanuts....

Am with you Capn. I despise the way he’s gone about it, but if his move earns the club 15m plus and allows both us and him to move on then get it done and we can start to enjoy games again with players who want to play and a team that might win a few!

Let him go . Don't let him tarry. Let him sink or let him swim. He doesn't now care for us . And we don't care for him Let's hope if it's Bournemouth he will start to enjoy . And grow into a man from a precocious little boy .

I was always an admirer of Billing, the criticism he received was often unjust and wrong. But he let himself down after Wagner left and so it's obvious he needs to leave. I wish him well but if he does come good, it will always be a big regret that after investing so much time and effort into him as a club, we never saw the fruits of our labour.

There is definitely a footballer in there but now we're back in the Championship we need fighters and perhaps more importantly team players. Teamwork and a strong bond got us up last time rather than simply ability and I think Billing's head is somewhere else right now, so it's time to sell him for a good price with a decent sell-on and if he does flourish under Eddie Howe then we'll still get a slice of any future income. Who knows we might have a great season and we might pass Bournemouth at the end of the season, now that would be rather sweet. Let's take the money and run.

Bournemouth are light years ahead of us man. We won’t be catching them or anyone else of that wealth or squad quality probably ever again. They bought the lad from scouse ripoff transfer fc and he barely even played- £20M on a lad who’s 3rd or 4th choice up front. Different worlds.

I put something on Twitter last week and some bloke replied with a screenshot that said he was worth £100m. Apparently the money they spend is just the TV brass, he didn't like it when I asked if the players were playing for free then 🤣

I’m sure he’d spend a 5th of his income on a signing like that.

It was like we’d put Leeds or Wednesday in charge of our recruitment and they were trying to get us relegated. Lots of other examples of Bournemouth’s massive spending capacity of recent years. They’ve got one of the most expensively assembled squads in the country now. I do agree they will fail if and when the owner leaves.

A lot of our fans thought we’d be doing well to stay up this year. If you’re looking for negative fan you’re looking in the wrong direction. If our squad starts the season as it is (even more so if we get PB firing again) then we’re show ins for promotion. Question marks remain around the manager but this is still a premier league squad.

For those knocking billing the facts seem to be that there are two Premier League sides prepared to pay £15m for him - only kongolo and maybe mooy could get a bigger fee in our current squad
That clubs see him worth that and want him in the Premier shows that he is a outstanding talent
He was ill advised to talk to the press but regardless he’s clearly a talented footballer
It’s time for him to move on and personally I’m appreciative of his role in two outstanding seasons ... as well as £15m which will hopefully go a long way to building another successful side

There’s one loud clueless idiot on this board who’s ramped up this anti Billing rhetoric because he creates and gets a lot of attention on here. Anyone who knows anything about football or watched us at old Trafford or Burnley or Everton early last year knows what PB can do & what he’s worth. £15M is a bargain. Burnley paid £12M 2 years ago for Jeff Hendrick.

Looking at transfermarkt Mepham = £12m plus Konsa = £12m Bristol City got £13.5m for Kelly - again never played above the Championship Villa paid £20m for Mings and he has big question marks at top level Billing has shown he can do at PL - was young player of the year - and will get better as he fills out his 6ft 6in frame. Hopefully we get a decent sell on clause
