Can match the Premier League's best players on his day? 😂 If you genuinely think Billing can perform anywhere near the levels of de Bruyne, David Silva, Kante or Ozil on ANY given day then you probably need an urgent MRI scan. £15M is a good deal for both clubs. Do you mean a CT scan. An MRI doesn’t measure brain activity. Our midfield of Hogg/Mooy/Billing saw us competing against most teams last year. We were rarely outplayed or outclassed unlike the previous season. We had no wide men or strikers to really compete in terms of the results. Billing is a bonefide premier league midfielder with 40 odd appearances and 3 goals to his name. If you think £15M is Billing’s worth then take off your town blinkers and compare him with other players in that price bracket as a utter poster has above. Also said he has talent but will not have a stellar career. Lots of shite players get moves for big money. Its Bournemouth...not Real Madrid....and they will be below Town within 2 years. £15m is a fair price for someone who will be left to rot in our reserves. At Christmas, he was getting linked with a £25m move to Watford to replace Doucoure. Unfortunately since then he has burnt a few bridges which has cost both us and him financially.
On his day, he is our second best player (with potential to be our best). He can pretty much do it all. He can pass, shoot, tackle, dribble and run. He can play as 6 and as a 8 whilst also being able to cover more advanced and defensive positions. With that said, his attitude stinks (and has ruffled a few feathers in the past dating all the way back to Powell). That is what will fundamentally hold him back unless it drastically changes. Billing leaves in the same way Hunt and Rhodes left. Grateful for his past contribution but will not be getting any recognition or acknowledgement when he returns.

End of term report:
Philip is one of the most promising boys we’ve had. However he lacked consistency and develop excessive self belief, also known as arrogance.
He needs to realise his career is a short one and this move will take him towards his thirties. If he was as good as he believes he is then he wouldn’t need this interim step up.
He will not now quite make the big time of a top 6 club and the only way he will reach the camp nou is by buying a visitors day ticket
We wish you well and hope you learn to respect and value your future club, and stop being a pansy on and off the field.
You will not be missed for what you are. You will be missed for what you might’ve been.

Not a chance you can lump Rhodes with Billing. Rhodes never publicly slagged a manager off. Rhodes never downed tools. Rhodes didn’t perform for half a season and then laid low. Rhodes was the main reason we got out of a league. Nothing he did resulted in his value decreasing. He scored 2 in 3 in the Championship before leaving if I remember correctly. Was a professional till the end. Can’t hate the guy for going for more money to a team in the same league. Billing..... just get rid. I don’t hate the guy. I’d just prefer to take the money and forget about him. Bang a decent sell on clause in there and leave it be |
