We could be safe after the Everton game, and not having to worry anymore...would be nice.. Does Town ever do that ? Never...you and I know we'll be in the bottom 3 at 89 minutes v Arsenal, then we get a penalty to draw the game and stay up, up steps Van La Parra.......and...................

Well if there is just lump a load of money on that happening and if the worst comes to the worst you'll be quids in Problem is, bookies have had us odds-on to go down all season! But if there are for example 3 results that need to go against us for us to go down on the last day then put say 50 quid on all those 3 results happening as an accumulator, you would get a tidy return on your money. The fact that we've been odds on to go down all season is irrelevant. I did something similar in our first season back in the Championship when we had the Barnsley love-in. Twice during that game we were relegated and I stood to win a couple of thousand. I was still happy we stayed up but I would have been happy to collect as well - a win win. Not in everybody's eyes I'm sure but it would certainly cushion the disappointment!

Lying in bed in Goa and wondering if the Mrs will let me put the game on TV ( at 12 30 at night ) or if I should go down to the bar and see if I can get the barman to stay up after hours and put it on
Or perhaps just go to sleep and dream of bloody miracle

Not a criticism as it's always nice to see sensible opposition fans views but you do seem to pop up a lot recently

Really gutted that this year looks like being s one off Yes I spend a lot of time on the Oatcake as well What a saddo 😊

Just come back from Goa,well couple of weeks ago. Was in the south, Betalbatim, where are you? Everything seems to be going our way at the moment, Chelsea fight back, last minute winner, then your lot conceding in last minute - a draw was good result for us. Long may the gods shine on us, 3 points from Everton, palace go down and Stoke survive..

I did the same, would have made about 500. My logic was that I couldn't face spending all that money on a season-ticket for league 1 and probably wouldn't have done. If we had have been relegated my season-ticket would have then been paid for so I would have got one

think Brighton could just as easily be the ones to go down as us or indeed even Southampton and Stoke .Add to that Swansea. Palace will not go down - unfortunately and neither will West Ham - unfortunately.

So you think brighton have as much chance of going down as two teams who are seven points behind them with 4/5 to play ? Can’t see it myself

Three wins and a draw for Stoke, combined with a win and three losses for Town, would be very likely to be enough for Stoke to go above us on goal difference.

And in fact, the most likely situation is that BEFORE we even take the field v Everton we'll be guaranteed to finish above Stoke, as they're most likely to lose v Burnley this week and v Liverpool in the early kick off next week which would leave them seven points behind with only six points to play for. Leicester best Southampton this week and three points for us v Everton would mean Southampton need three wins and a draw to overhaul us (v Everton, Bournemouth, Swansea and Man City). Of course, also most likely is that we won't actually beat Everton and we'll finish the season on 36 or 37 points which will make the last few games quite nervy rather than the comfort that 3ptsbv Everton would bring!!! However, I have a feeling that we will be safe going into the last day, with both Swansea and Southampton behind us, either able to overtake us, but not both (since they're playing each other, and quite likely the loser of that game will get relegated with Stoke and West Brom).

Cant stress how much of a massive result that will be for us, I hope Leicester aren't on the beach and go for it, a Leicester win and Town surely need no motivation for next Saturday,Win and we're pretty much safe.

Interestingly the current Leicester manager used to manage Southampton. He will want to get one over his old club. Leicester away is a tough fixture.
