think Brighton could just as easily be the ones to go down as us or indeed even Southampton and Stoke .Add to that Swansea. Palace will not go down - unfortunately and neither will West Ham - unfortunately. Nah

Just come back from Goa,well couple of weeks ago. Was in the south, Betalbatim, where are you? Everything seems to be going our way at the moment, Chelsea fight back, last minute winner, then your lot conceding in last minute - a draw was good result for us. Long may the gods shine on us, 3 points from Everton, palace go down and Stoke survive.. On Arossim Beach. Lovely and warm nice hotel but 90th minute equalisers put a downer on it

After the Saints game at the weekend and West Ham's late equaliser it kind of feels like the football Gods are looking out for us. Finally, after being twats to us for years.

So you think brighton have as much chance of going down as two teams who are seven points behind them with 4/5 to play ? Can’t see it myself I agree - their run in is brutal - they may not get anymore points

Stoke and Southampton are the ones most likely to go down but if one or both of them go on a unlikely but possible run to escape, Swansea are currently the most likely team to be caught followed by us and Brighton. If Brighton fail to get anything at home against a weakened Spurs tonight then they would be the next after Swansea but that would change again if we similarly fail to get anything at home to Everton.
First and foremost, Stoke and Southampton desperately need to improve their results, good performances are meaningless at this time of the season if they don't garner points. If both these teams fail to do this then Swansea's, Brighton's and our results will be immaterial.

Can’t see it myself 12 teams can still mathematically end up in the relegation spaces. One in 4 chance of going down for us, Brighton, West Brom & Leicester. Did you learn nothing from Towny last season?

We're far too popular I was watching the post-game shows over here and the number of times I heard "Huddersfield" or "A-heddersfield" was quite a big number. Mind you, they were talking about Manchester City being presented with the Trophy and Arsene Wenger's last game. We're becoming a commodity. Probably unlikely, but wouldn't it be fun to piss on their chips, both of them?

It's going right down to the wire, and I think we're going to have to beat Arsenal 😥

Anything can happen of course, and I will always hope for a miracle, but I just can't see Swansea and Southampton not getting the necessary points. I think we need to hope they draw when they play each other and all other results go for us. One thing's for sure - you wouldn't put money on us scoring again, never mind getting another point.

if west ham lose tomorrow which is very likely, then they have to be included in the mix as well in my eyes

Very much depends on next weekend's games. If Southampton don't beat Everton then we have to be wanting a Swansea win when those two teams meet.
Best case scenario for us now is Southampton needing a win against city in the last game whilst we would need to beat arsenal to guarantee safety.

if west ham lose tomorrow which is very likely, then they have to be included in the mix as well in my eyes Yes, but they still have to play Leicester - who are on the beach - and Everton at home. Their other two games are against the two Manchester teams. I think they'll get at least a couple of points and be safe, but if they lose tomorrow they are on the same points as us and still very much in the shit. That will put them under pressure, which may affect them in their final games. Besides, with more teams in trouble, the better chance we have, although we're now relying on others to slip up.

We're not though are we ? We are 3 points above the drop zone with 3 to play, Stoke 2. Wagner said on MOTD we have already taken points off the top 6 ( Man Utd at home and no one else actually ). The point is if you believe we can get another point or 2 from a top 6 side, have the courage of your convictions and let's have a crack at them. There will be no whinging from me if we fail as would seem likely, but at least have a feckin go. We are assuming our points tally will be as is now, 35. It might well be, but we have a free hit at 3 games to at least try to get some more points on the board.

We have three games against teams who have their position in the table wrapped up and players hoping to stay fit for the World Cup. It’s highly possible we’ll pick up 1 or 2 points from these games.
As ever i’d rather have the points in the bag, it’s not ideal and very uncomfortable to not have this wrapped up but i’d Have taken this scenario at the start of the season. We’re still more likely to stay up than go down, but only just... which is frustrating and still raw at the moment.

I suspect (and think it makes sense) to set up to defend at City, ten men behind the ball and hope not to concede, just stay in the game. This expends less energy leaving us fresher for Chelsea (who play Liverpool on Sunday 6th) Of their 4 remaining games in 13 days, ours is relatively low key. They may rest players and won't be up for a physical test. If we have a real go at them, I see this as our best chance of further point(s)

We held city to 0-0 last season. We were 6 mins from 1-1 in November. It can be done.
