Taking over at Brum. Cotteril sacked a few minutes ago, looks like Garry has been negotiating for the role behind the guy in charge’s back. Class. Humility. Respect. (and League 1 football) Looks like a bit of a brum deal for City. They shouldn't make recruiting the likes of Monk a habit.

Hilarious - you couldn't make it up . Fire Rowett , go to Zola and then Rednapp and a couple in between and end up with squirrel boy. What a joke.

He’s a total knob, but he’s a decent manager at that level. Wouldn’t surprise me if he keeps them up. He’s probably a mid-table Championship manager

From Rowett to a bloke brought up on 3 values of class, humility and respect. Talking to Brum behind cotterils back. He's a horrible bastard and him and Brum belong together. Hope he takes em down, they are long overdue some third division footy.

Wagner flattened him the Leeds scum I think you might have a bit of a selective memory there. Wagner and Monk had a set to, the leeds players went for Wagner, Monk skulked off amongst the melee, then Kacha nailed Jansson and Izzy nailed the rest.

Blues fans better get used to the same old excuses after defeats. Couple of shots and he thinks they should have won the game. Hope they go down along with Sunderland Class, humility and respect, he wouldn't know what it was if hit him in the face and it nearly did last year at our place!!

The thing I don’t get is ... why Monk ? And why did the bluenose fans want him in ? Mclarenesque in terms of destroy n exit .. they’re down now Did a very decent job at Swansea. Then got our friends from Beeston to just outside the playoffs, a bit shit at Boro - hence him having to drop a bit to get a job. He's a loathsome little shite with a face you could never tire of punching, but 2 jobs out of 3 he's not been a bad manager. I expect Brum to stay up, and become an utterly detestable club in the process.

He then couldn’t turn it around, fell out with several players and left. At Leeds he started so badly they were screaming for his head after we beat them at Elland Road. Whelan and fans stating they had no style or identity. Had a decent run. But once their form dipped again he was unable to turn it around, rumours of fall outs with some players, then left. Boro he spend a fortune, results weren’t good enough. Same old tired excuses and nonsense in his interviews. Then he left. Awful manager.

Reputation clearly still in tact but if he fooks this one up the job will be his last at champ level I reckon.
Has there ever been a worse managerial decision by a board than the one to sack Rowett. It looked like sheer idiocy at the time and whats happened since has well and truly confirmed it! Hope they go down for that reason and because I remember them wallowing in our misfortune in 99, plus selling Ndlovu to Sheff Utd not us.

VLP had to be dragged off so didn't have chance to get stuck in as it were. If VLP had got stuck in and tried to give someone a kicking he'd have missed.

Well they employed Wor Lee so it's a close run thing which decision was worse.

I think Birmingham have been a but unlucky this season. If it wasn't for the goals they've conceded they'd have won more matches and probably be around the playoffs.

Monk sniffing and BBC Radio Biased in the background. So so funny.
