Monk’s no different to every other football manager in terms of negotiating to take over before the current incumbent gets the bullet.
Wagner was lined up well before Powell went, so don’t start getting all holier than thou about what goes on.
Doesn’t mean that Monk’s not an absolute throbber though.

No arguing with that, but Monk spaffed any credibility he may have previously had with his whining after we beat his team. I'd love to know if he still believes what he said or whether he regrets his possibly spur of the moment comments about class & respect after shoulder-barging his opposite number. |

Birmingham will have a brief upturn in performance as players play for their positions/contracts before the summer. It'll all go pear shaped before end of next season and they will be back where they were a year previous. They don't seem to be learning. I suppose desperation to stay in Championship is taking a hold now ad the panic's set in at boardroom. Never should have sacked Rowett.
