LMAO. Teddy bear arms and legs flying everywhere because we are only signing a relegated international player for £5 million - even though he's going to the World Cup with Egypt. Apparently, the best bits that youtube has to offer and the opinions of a handful of Stoke fans suggest that he is not good enough for the mighty Huddersfield Town. And we call Leeds fans arrogant!

I'd be happier if I heard good decision-making, pace and an eye for goal (or at least one of them) among his attributes.

I don't know about slow but he was quick enough to get to the back post and score against us on Boxing day - does that count as an end product?
If Wagner wants him and he comes then he'll have my backing.
Who knows - it might be that all these Egyptian internationals need are German coaches from Dortmund to turn them from PL misfits into world beaters.
It would give us an interest in another World cup player too.
I'm sure the info about him being in England is legit given it was an excuse given for his absence from the Egypt camp but whether the club involved was us we'll have to wait and see.

Honest opinion He’s nothing special. Thought he might be when he first signed as he seemed full of confidence and looked more than capable Unfortunately in his time with us he went backwards ( Mark Hughes can do that to players) In the end he spent most of his time with us on the bench. He can beat a full back, but wants to do it three times , but there’s not much end product in terms of goals or decent crosses
He’s still young and who knows may improve under a decent manager. Personally I doubt it
You’d be better signing John Walters 😊

I don't think people are worried that he's not good enough. Just that they don't think he is necessarily an improvement on what we've already got. We need wide players who are of much higher quality than our current bunch and I'm not sure that this guy is. Hope I'm proven wrong.

The translation to this calls us 'The Huddersfield Town'. As in.... THE Huddersfield Town. Wonderful

Mixed reception from Stoke fans. No pace but can beat his man over and over again. Lots of potential, but ruined by poor management. Could do with a season in an easier league to build confidence. The rumor going round is £5 Million. No pace? I thought he was fast...

Must be happening if the Egyptian fa tweet it.
Can’t help but being underwhelmed. We were (unrealistically) linked with shakiri and we get Sobhi.
Was hoping for someone from abroad who could put in a decent cross and had an eye for goal. Instead we get VLP mark II.
I’ll give him a chance though and trust the management to get the best out of him. Still young too.

He looks to have plenty of ability. Clearly we cannot afford to buy the finished product. If he scored shed-loads of goals & made assists at this level at the age of 21 he'd be going to Liverpool for 50 odd million.

I will like every Town player give him a chance. I think most of the concern comes from the comments about a lack of end product as it reminds us all of someone else but maybe that is being exaggerated. If Wagner wants him I trust he has something about him.

When we brought in Depoitre, his stats at Porto were pretty poor. He was cheap as his move there had been seen as a bit of a failure. The Porto fans seemed happy to be rid of him. Just saying like.

I'd be happier if I heard good decision-making, pace and an eye for goal (or at least one of them) among his attributes. Then you'd also likely be hearing a price tag of double or more what is being talked about. If he does sign, I doubt he'll be our marquee signing of the summer. He looks at least half-decent, so that bodes well for what's to come.

Pretty sure lossl came with bad reviews and I doubt Porto and st mirren thought much of depoitre and mooy. Will be good to watch him at the World Cup 👍

He’s only 21 FFS, plenty of time to improve and if Wagner wants him then that’s good enough for me. Trust Wagner.

Why are people acting like he's the only winger we are signing? He is young and one for the future I doubt he will even start many games

Have you guys heard yourselves recently. We are rumoured to be signing a 21 year old current international for £5M and some people are whinging about it. It’s embarrassing, it really is.

It comes with the Premier League mate. Half of Stoke fans now moan if we sign anybody for less than £10m and don’t seem to realise before we went up our record as about 700k. !!!
