No goals. No assists. Thirty-five pages of puns. Well worth five million pounds of anyone's money.

He's fucking slow as well (not mentally obviously).
One of quite a few unfathomable signings we've made.

Imagine Nicks frustration at this story coming out and him not being able to bang on, incessantly, about the size of Sobhis arse due to his ban

You can only imagine he's a useful player that signing opens up big commercial returns. He's not and never will be anything but a premier league squad player.. . At very best

Either we're absolutely mental or Wolves are, which one is it?

Take the money, Deano. Fast. If that's the case we are playing hard ball with everyone. Mind you I bet the Egyptians like a bit of a barter.

As I said in the Transfers thread; I would imagine the answer lies in the repayment structure. On the face of this, I would query why Al Ahly are seeking another season on loan if they wish/intend to purchase in 12 months time. They obviously feel there is some risk involved and/or trying to defer payment. At which point I know I would query their integrity/motives.
EDIT: have I misunderstood? Are they both separate bids (not sequential)?
*sorry for the repetition, but this is obviously the most appropriate place for the discussion.

What if, theoretically, the repayment structure for the reputed £2.5m on offer had no down payment, was spread across ten years and based upon appearances and levied against the success of the club - which would you find the joke; the bid or rejecting the offer? Its clear the the club want him and he wants to stay. Both are active in trying to achieve this. We don't need to be held over a barrel, let them bid and let them pay the price if they want their man. EDIT: I've just realised who I'm trying to reason with. Maybe i'm the fool.

I *think* when transferring to a new association then all payment becomes immediately due via with clubs using the ITMS platform as the only recognised receipted method of transferring funds. www.fifatms.com/itms/I would also question the veracity of the numbers...they’ve reportedly come from the players agent. He won’t necessarily know what the club have offered Town or when. Throw in that Sobhi will have some contract termination clauses and it could well be that a £2.5m offer is equivalent to just giving him away, he’s got 2/3rds of his contract with us still to run...AND....we will have payments scheduled to Stoke over the next two years, if his contract with us ended now, then those payments would immediately become due, so highly likely £2.5m would go directly to Stoke and Town would be forking out severances due to Sohbi. Very easy to understand why £2.5m would be rejected...suspect we’d want closer to £4m or £5m assuming the various figures it’s reported we paid for him are true.

Whoever recommended this signing and agreed the fee needs shooting. We got drunk on the premier league money.

Yeah - but 5 in one day! Think you have a cracker in Lindsay. Powell if he stays fit as well. Gregory, Cousins and Davies are all solid Champ players. Seems to me like Jones is after a team based more around graft this season.

We’re hoping it works out but after years of £m signings it’s all a bit underwhelming Apparently we’re also interested in your full back Tommy Smith

He started ok but never really hit the heights Looked good on the ball at times but no end product in terms of a goal or even a good cross Top of the Egyptian League is probably his level
