Hopefully play him in last few games, build team around him next season. Did you read the above Nick? He cannot play for us as per the terms of his loan. Unless we send him out in disguise, maybe as Depoitre. Who would notice? Never get away with that. They wear different coloured boots. |

Van la parra is the future unless we get new wingers in and get rid of them all he is the best winger we have Let’s get him ready for next season. Jan likes to play in a more positive style which would suit VLP. Most positive skilful player we have had for a long, long time and terrifies Championship defenders. We’ll have to agree to differ. My money is on Diakhaby being first choice winger at the start of next season, VLP as back-up if Mbenza leaves otherwise he’ll be gone or 3rd choice at best. But I guess we’ll know in August😊 |

He can’t shoot, he can’t cross and he falls down a lot. He couldn’t get in our team, he couldn’t get in Boro’s Championship side - not even on the bench - and yet some people see him as The Messiah, ready to tear defences apart next season? His failings as a wingback were in the offensive duties- he defended well and “got us up the field” well. However that was under Wagner’s system - hopefully next season we will be playing with wingers not wingbacks so the emphasis for them will be on delivering in the final third - and Rajiv is not equipped for that. We need better - whether we get it is another question but VLP...not for me, I’m afraid. Can diakhaby or mbenza shoot or cross for 23million or would you rather have van la parra for 750k? Well they've definitely shown they can cross, but I'll take all 3 to cover one another (Pecos !) |

If Jan wants to make a difference to our attacking game he needs to find more influential players who actually can play and link up well with others. |

He wins a fair few corners, which in recent times have more often resulted in an opposition breakaway than a Town chance. For all of Mooy's qualities, his dead ball delivery is sodding awful sometimes. |

From what i have seen of the 2 new guys which is not much so far they look far more dangerous in the opposition half than VLP as ever been they get beyond the the last defenders which VLP never does. And they look to be far better team players. |

I rate Diakhaby and Mbenza so id rather come at it from that angle than bashing VLP but Shawsie and co seem to be accusing those 2 of not being good enough because they've had some dodgy games in their first season with us in the hardest league in the world while forgetting how many shite games VLP had for us in the Championship. Even at that level his poor games outweighed the ones where you walked away purring about how good he had been |

But on what I've seen, we bought two quick running athletes not footballers! They havent had dodgy games as such ....it's more their complete lack of contribution full stop - Wagner clearly didn't rate either and I'm not sure how anyone can given they've been absolute garbage in all but a game apiece. 12m plus for barely 2 decent games between em....that's not disappointing, it's absolute shite. |
