Good effort but lets be realistic. Another shite season and prices back up to £350 to £400 for the following year (has ST prices ever been mentioned post Dean Hoyle?) we would be back to 10k. Another shite season and prices stay at £250 we'd be down to 12k the following season I reckon. This is a big season coming up.

At £250 I'm pretty sure we'll always sell an absolute minimum of 14000. I think people underestimate our support. We used to average 15000 in the latter lge 1 days and that was without cheap season tickets.

I'm not so sure now....I thought we might be 15k max this time but our fans want the success to continue and one way to help is to make coming to the stadium enjoyable. Despite the results, our home support has been wonderful and we underestimate the interest we have grown I think.

And that included non attending season ticket holders so you can knock 2000 off that figure.

Not actually 15000 so I stand corrected there but average of over 14000 for 2009-10 and nearly 14000 in 2010-11 and over 14000 in the promotion season.

Good numbers agreed. Those will have been genuine figures back then, we hadn't yetadopted the Bradford counting method.

Fans will always turn up more readily when a team is winning games. ‘Twas ever thus. We trebled our average gate in 1979/80 from 1978/79. However, the supporters have remained remarkably loyal after what has been a bruising season.

Our full season ticket price is more or less the same as Arsenal Platinum season ticket holders are getting in discount because they blew up in the Europa final...
And we get more games!

I know it’s an idea from Leeds, but what do people think of an away season ticket?

I know it’s an idea from Leeds, but what do people think of an away season ticket? Personally I think it's wrong - just another way of getting more and more money out of their fans. Assuming you can do all 23 games (and, let's face it most people can't get to every away game) that still works out at nearly £35 a game. Miss just 3 games and it's up to £40 a game. Just another way to persuade fans to part with more hard earned money to guarantee tickets for those big games.

I know it’s an idea from Leeds, but what do people think of an away season ticket? Pointless for us. It's just another way of ripping off their supporters. They have a decent away support and its a guaranteed ticket for high demand games but 800 quid. Apart from the odd one here or there it's never been a problem getting an away ticket for us.

These away season tickets are good for guaranteeing away tickets i suppose, but lets face it we dont always sell out for Leeds away, which going by the dislike of them on here is unbelievable.

I’m sure if Town decided to do it they’d seriously consider the price point for us fans and not rip us off; and yes, I appreciate its the away team who sets the ticket price and we have no control.

That one didn’t go our way but the last 3 have been wins for us. Won’t forget Mooy scoring the winner at their place or the late drama at ours for a long time. We still have bragging rights, least until December! 😉

Granted they are expensive, but considering the abuse and insults hurled their way on here, you`d think most town fans would be clamouring to see us hopefully beat them, if we beat them in their own back yard its worth an hundred quid for the satisfaction never mind forty.

I hate them, but I flat out refuse to pay £43 for a ticket. I remember the days of boycotting Sheff Utd for £28.50 a ticket. I wish we'd start doing reciprocal pricing and charge them as much as us. I know it's the fans that get hit but it annoys me to see other clubs taking the piss whilst we are fair(ish).

Its robbery unless you know you are going to go to every away game, or very close to it. No saving particularly but at least you know you'll get a ticket. Leeds away support is very good so would make sense.
For anyone else its a robbery. Taking advantage of them and making them pay more overall to avoid the panic of not getting a ticket.
Certainly no justification for it at town. Our away support is excellent, but getting a ticket in the end is rarely a problem.

Slightly off-topic as this isn’t specifically about our season tickets but about how much tickets cost in Germany. Unlike the PL and the EFL, it appears football in Germany hasn’t sold it soul to the demands of TV and fleecing the fans; the fans come first, including being able to buy standing tickets if you so wish...

Charge Leeds £43 a ticket then set the extra charge against fans buying away tickets at Leeds £43 - £13 = £30.
