3 wingers out on loan. 1 aging central midfielder in. A squad with 6 attacking players for 4 positions.
No movement. No creativity. Can't pass. Can't shoot.
We haven't sleepwalked into relegation, we've thrown ourselves into a coma.

I think that this quote may haunt Deano for sometime.. They certainly all look to be sleep walking to me. I’d rather watch the U23’s..

Jan Molby moved quicker than Puncheon. The squad is embarrassingly thin and devoid of quality, pace and technical ability.

Much as I respect Dean massively for everything he’s done he has had a habit of saying things that come back to haunt him (i.e Lambert). In hindsight May have been better not saying anything.

This will come back to haunt him. Right now the whole situation is a massive embarrassment.
It's all gone wrong, right from the very top.

Slag Diakhaby off all you want, but there are players out there on the pitch for us simply not good enough and steps have not been taken to rectify the bleeding obvious.

We entered January crying our for creativity and a goalscorer. We scored on the 2nd against Burnley and have drawn blanks since. It's shambolic. We may as well cash in on the January panic buys and sell Mooy and Billing by Thursday.

Completely agree Stupid statement Nothing to back it up - we signed Andy Hughes’ mate, that’s all... who looks like he should be in a retirement home The Board completely screwed things up in the summer £5m net investment on the worst attack in premier league Unbelievably naive / out of their depth / cautious take your pick Blame the 3 directors of football / sporting directors who have left in quick succession (all 3 to blame... or wider issues?) The Board screwed this up big time in the summer ... make this stupid statement ... and deliver FA Wagner worked miracles to get us up, keep us up, ... worked miracles to get 11 points A complete lack of investment to improve the team Waken up!

The only way we wernt going to sleepwalk Into relegation was by spending a bit. We’ve brought in Jason puncheon.
When the club have pretty much decided we are already down it’s not going to make for much optimism from the supporters.
What worries me is this kind of form continuing into next season. There has to be big changes in the playing staff in the summer.

Because we are not sleep walk into the championship next season we are getting carried in a coffin to the championship..

I appreciate that the Chairman communicates with the fans, I'm sure we all do. However, if you're going to issue a rallying call and raise hopes then it has to be backed up with actions. The club would have been better saying 'we are down, we'll be lowering the wage bill until June.
We have probably done that, given VLP, Sobhi and Collin are currently shipped out. I'm pretty sure that Puncheon will be close if not under the combined wages we are saving from those 3.
The club need a few lessons in expectation management if they are gonna keep making statements that turn out to be bereft of substance.

I personally think relegation was probably the accepted outcome for the start of the season, so we haven't slept-walked at all, it was always on the cards and always planned for.
Spunking tonnes of cash on players that aren't good enough to keep us up would have been downright crazy.
The season starts in August 2019 for me.

If that was true we wouldn't have let Ince or Hefele go, or let 3 other wingers go out on loan, break the team up and destroy morale.

Movement and passing wise that was almost the worst we’ve played all season IMO. Kachunga should have bagged 2 free headers - simply awful.
Don’t blame Siewert as it’s the squad he’s inherited and it’s poor - I do question why with 5mins to go we kept 4 players back though.

I question why were 1-0 down playing against 10 men and take a winger off for a left back, and then not make another attacking change until the 86th minute which was 1 attacker for another. 3 centre halves marking thin air.

The Chairman, according to unofficial sources, may well be in bad shape. Leave him out of this. His troops need to step up to the game, so far they are weak cowards, unlike our Chairman.
