Mooy Billing and Kongolo are top players for us ( and maybe a few others) and are potentially valuable also, should they be transferred, but i dont believe there have been reported any significant interest or firm offers for them in the January window. Therefore maybe interest from other clubs isnt as high as we might think. Summer is a more likely time for them to leave but i also think its difficult for them to shine in a team that is rock bottom of the league and scoring so few goals/ creating so few chances. We may have to activity tout players to other clubs to get them off the wage bill and sadly the price may be far more modest than we had hoped. ( its being so cheerful that keeps me going 😀)

I remember Tommy Docherty doing an after dinner speech saying Peter Storey had a great right foot, but we didnt know where it came from.🙂

Mooy always said it was his dream to play in the premier league, be utterly shocked if he stayed. He left his own country to realise his dream of playing there, so doubt leaving us will be a problem It wasn't. He couldn't wait to get to Brighton.

Here we go again 3 years later Bromby and Dean did it to ourselves, like it was designed. Pathetic

I’m not a fan of using a phrase from 5 years ago as a stick to beat Hoyle with.
For me, his biggest error was gambling on promotion last season. He clearly saw not selling us to Marcus Evans as his chance to regain his money if we went up. Sadly, there was no contingency for us not going up and now we are paying the price for that punt.
I honestly think he put self-interest over the best outcome for the club.
The result is where we now find ourselves.

How did he gamble? Not selling to Marcus Evans was probably totally out of DH's hands - could have been one of a hundred reasons why that deal never came to pass.
