This is the worst season of my life... I hate this premier league shiit..... Who wants to watch your team not only losing every week but also not scoring goals... Got to be the worst ever...Even worse than getting relegated to lg 2 ...at least we scored goals bsck then .. You obviously missed the 87-88 season under “super”mac and the 2002-3 season under Wadsworth then.

We lack confidence but it'll return at some point. We are competing against better players from clubs backed by countries and we haven't had a lot of luck this season. Having said that we've rarely looked like scoring. Frustrating yes. But I'm phlegmatic about it... Genuinely have you? The players and level may have been worse, but I can't ever remember going to games knowing we are going to lose and knowing we aren't going to score. It is absolutely dog shit with no redeeming features.

Tickets for Newcastle away recently went on sale & a few round by us were saying tonight they would be giving it a miss this season in view of everything but mainly because we just don’t score never mind win a game. Think this game last season was a sell-out and we took a big following. Can see where they’re coming from, all hope is being sucked out of us & general apathy is taking over.

I don't mind us losing to an extent. Until mid-December I was fairly pleased with our performances despite not picking up the points I thought we deserved. It was still enjoyable even without winning. But the manner in which we're losing now is what's getting to me. We're barely giving it a go and there's nothing to get excited about. Pickford made a couple of good saves but apart from that, the best part of the game was a sub coming on. Newcastle beat City, Burnley nearly beat Utd away but got a point, Fulham put 4 past Brighton and we had just 2 shots on target at home against a poor team who had 10 men for half an hour.

And relatively speaking this is by far the worst. At least we scored a few goals in that season with wadsworth. This stat sums it up for me for how poor it's been - Town have now failed to score in 50% of their premier league home games, that's 16 out of 32! That is the highest percentage in the premier league's history!

I have flights in for 6 matches...i have clearly sleep-walked in to booking them. The surprising thing for me is people are surprised. We had the Great Escape last season with just 28 goals and did nothing about it Recruitment was shite (who got excited pre-season?), the tactics have been a shambles, the loan use non-existent. Think Wigan and Stoke broke the mould staying up 6 or 7 seasons when they were always favourites to go down. At least they battled and scored some goals. We were always destined to be relegated...its the pathetic manner that rankles.

I just want this season to end as quickly as possible. I honestly can't see where the next point is coming from. The worst thing for me as that all those arrogant "experts" have been proved right. We are way out of our depth.

We should start throwing some youngsters into the mix now i believe. Give them some experience, might prove dividends for next season. Nothing to lose, only gain.

We are way out of our depth. Agreed. The annoying thing is all momentum has been swept away in the last few months no chance now of becoming an established prem club. The squad doesn't even look like it will compete in the championship. A promotion challenge looks miles off The decision to bring in an unproven manager at this time is questionable. It's conceivable we won't get another point this season. whats that going to do for confidence. Surely it would have been better to get him in the summer ?

Fair question point let me explain Spend on Kongolo, Lossl, Flo was not to improve what we had it was to retain the same as last year - that didn’t improve the team it kept it at the level it was Same previous year where buying Mooy, Kachunga, a no 10, keeper loan etc wasn’t adding to the team (though Lossl did) it was just to stand still. Bacuna probably doesn’t fit but cheap and potential replacing Whitehead - sensible. Durm in free, Malome our for a fee. Net net nil? Our model worked to get us up here but it meant we had to spend a certain amount a year behind just to stand still To push on we had to spend over and above We had a main job of improving the worst attack in the league What did we do? We bought Diakhaby £10m, Sobhi £5m (some suggest £3m but go for £5m), loan fee Mbenza ? Less £10m Ince = Net £5m plus loan fee That’s what we spent to improve the team ... How many games had Diakhaby started before he joined us. 13 A fundamental lack of investment to push on or improve I believe the intention for last summer was - secure the players we have (dont sell our performers and secure the loans) - supplement the squad with a few punts who could come good like bacuna and sobhi (much like the sabiri, payne, dempsey deals) - blow the rest on 2 players to improve the first 11 (~£30m) (who could in theory transform the side) first 2 were the easy part. we struggled with the last part in signing our key targets and didnt recover. we missed out on who we wanted and the clock was ticking, so panic bought (absolutely not true that mbenza was our key target all summer). Id hazard part of the reason we didnt spend more is we knew we were panic buying so went for cheaper, less rigorously scouted players the plan was probably to regroup for january with new targets. i still think hoyle had every intention of spending a few quid this january when he made his statement, but a combination of lost games and wagners exit changed our plans. I was told before wagner went we were after 2 players, sounds from the club that hasnt changed but i'm certain the targets will have. we will now likely bring in any 2 looking towards the championship Also I believe pritchard came out of this years budget but i could be wrong It didn’t need a few punts on players who had potential Our man signing Diakhaby has started 13 games. Seriously. But that’s what £10m gets you £18m got a Kongolo, 100 + games under his belt, 24 not 12 and ready - quality It needed 2 quality players costing £15m + not 3 gambles from Wilko’s pick and mix I look forward to seeing our accounts for y/e May-18ro understand who we couldn’t afford to do that We couldn’t not afford to do it

One small crumb of comfort, we didn’t lose 10-1 at Man City this season. Struggling to come up with any more positives this morning.

Chill yer beans lads. DW lost 3 of his first four games. Give JS a chance. Yes we’re poor and yes we’re going down but worse things happen. I love Town as much as anyone but it’s only footie. Don’t let it get yer down. Cheers.

Last night we were as bad, if not worse than in previous games.

Chris Kamara summed it up when Stelling asked him{after 10 minutes} "have they changed under the new man?" Kammy replied {sadly} "It,s just the same as under Wagner".We were 1 down at the time, after 1 minute as we know, and I turned to the missus and said that,ll be it then.I wasn,t wrong!

The board, management and players are all to blame. No plan, no flexibility, no money spent, no ambition, no fight. Its the way we have sleepwalked into relegation that really gets me.

Looking at the bigger picture for a minute. By being promoted a level of expectation was created. Having Wagner as manager was like a dream come true. Winning games like Man U at home and getting results like Man City and Chelsea to keep us up was unbelievable. Move to August 2019 and we have - A normal run of the mill manager (hope I'm wrong) Playing in the Championship Trying to beat Preston and Brentford. Not quite the same is it? A monster has been created and what happens next to the club and fans is extremely important to stop the wheels coming off completely.

Diakhaby hadn't plaid just 13 games when Town signed him. He'd played 59 including 5 in the Champion League for Monaco www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adama-diakhaby/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/453594Even though he's been pretty shit this season, I honestly think there is a quality player in him. Quite possible wont be with us, but wouldn't surprise me to see him at a top French team and in the France National team in a few years.........I know a lot of you will disagree with me though :-)

Surely it would have been better to get him in the summer ? It's surprised me too, instinctively I just felt it was a mistake though perhaps an understandable one since Hudson apparently couldn't have seen out the season as caretaker. It's not solely that he'll be under pressure regardless of the impossible job he's taken on if results and/or performances don't improve, it's the psychological aspect. We saw what being up against better quality week after week did to Wagner's mindset and it could very easily happen again. We might've brought in a young, forward-looking coach who likes to play exciting football but will he still be that after five months of losing every week and being in damage limitation mode? You'd have to be incredibly strong mentally for it not to affect you in some way.
