I like womens football especially International games. England have a decent squad and are very competitive. The football is of medium quality but will improve with time. Whats not to like. If you want to mock im up for mocking scottish football 24/7 😂🤣 mens or ladies. Hey, this is 2019 - some men simply prefer watching men play with a ball. Thats fine by me however i would rather watch my labrador chase a ball than Scottish football.

Football's football whoever is playing. Its just a great game. Could be fat blokes in a pub league, kids football, womens football. Theyre all good to watch. All you have to do is adjust your expectation levels on the ability you'll see to suit, and enjoy it. I even like watching scottish football! The quality is poor, but the tackles fly in, there isn;t much diving and feigning of injury- a bit of a throw back to the 70s and 80s. Still a man's game up there.. just not a very talented at football man's.

Ok Matt, let's take a look shall we? 20 replies so far, 5 of them below. That's 25% Exhibit A Exhibit B Exhibit C Exhibit D Exhibit E Stick your accusations of virtue signalling up your arse. It's not signalling virtue, it's simply not being a prick. After what you were saying when Sala's plane went missing, can you really take the moral high ground here? Fair comment. All about opinions isn't it? I felt this was lazy and shite but accept that my posts on the Sala thread upset some.

I know, I'm a bit disgusted at some of the old fashioned, sexist remarks. Out of order. It is 2019 not 1979. Anyway, I used to play as a left back in my playing days. I wouldn't mind being left back in the communal bath with some of those birds from the England team. Know what I mean?

They have 8 year old boys playing in full size nets so I really can't see them making changes for women, while I agree with the sentiment it's not just the size of the nets with the women keepers they just don't seem at ease* there unlike the outfield players. * I was going to put at home but thought it would lead off at a tangent with talk of ironing and being in the kitchen etcetc. Always thought that was ridiculous. I can remember playing in goals at junior school and the crossbar was miles above my head. I’m afraid you are both years behind. Junior football for both boys and girls play with junior goals until they get to u14. This has been the case for years as has the fact that they don’t play 11 a side until that age as well

I think it's uplifting and empowering that these elite sportspeople are finally smashing through the glass ceiling of sexism and establishing themselves on an equal footing and defeating the emasculation that has been so ingrained prior to their efforts. Plus, my mate once went out with gymnast that competed at quite a high level. He confirmed that girls in professional sports do indeed have thighs like clamps and, another consequence of that level of fitness, it was indeed as tight as a mouse's ear hole! So, bravo ladies! Keep it up!

Apologies all round.

I do know the team manager at Brighouse Wimmens FC, he’s a gnarly bastard that sticks strictly to the rules as well. He caught two guys climbing over the stadium fence a couple of weeks ago, grabbed them both and shouted straight into their faces “get the fuck back in there until the bloody game’s finished.”

Noticed on Saturday it was Chelsea ladies v Birmingham women, seems odd that it's not uniform, all ladies or all women. As for the standard of play I honestly think some of the outfield stuff is good and worth watching, I've seen some great goals, however hand on heart I've yet to see a good goalkeeper, even at international tournaments. Agreed. I wonder if it is sensible when females are 15 cm shorter than males on average that the goals are the same size? Sexist! Heightist! Misogynist! Its 2019 man, you are not allowed to say women are shorter.

Love this accusation of having it 'forced' on you.
Do you not have any other channels, Netflix, listen to podcasts or heaven forbid have interests that don't involve looking at a screen.
I can't say I've really noticed it too much - as much as you do hear it mentioned more on the news.
Arguably it is a bit forced in the punditry, but then again, Alex Scott is probably knocking on the door of being the best pundit full stop.
Otherwise, is another case of a few people implying it's PC gone mad when they are displaying many of the traits they are effectively making an accusation about.
So what if it's on more than the audience justifies, that is what the BBC often does and I believe is mandated to do. The mainstream media pleases the masses.

I have no problem watching Forest Ladies, in the same way I have no problem going to watch a Notts Senior League Division One game (step 8 of non-league). If you're constantly comparing the standard of every game you watch to the Man City mens team then obviously you're gonna be disappointed. What makes a great game to me is the competitiveness – you get great games and shit games at any level. I don't think claiming to watch women's football makes you a better football fan or better person, it's not for everyone, but saying it's crap because it doesn't compare to the men's game is just a shit argument.

Personally I think it’s great to see women’s football getting coverage. Why not? And the rugby teams too. There’s some bloody good players out there. My daughter plays and is looking to get into a club, so it’s great for me as a parent to see these women establishing themselves as role models and not the usual tramps duck-facing on MTV etc.
Am I right in thinking Town severed links with the ladies team? If so, that’s a poor do. With the money around right now, we could’ve done worse than putting a little their way to help them along.
