I'm pretty sure Grant was on the cards for a while and was signing whether Wagner stayed or left Probably but we didn't actually move for him until late in the window despite a striker being the absolute top priority leading up to January. I'd be surprised if Rebbe was the one who had scouted Grant but you never know he wasnt

That appears to suggest we're going with the views of Siewart, his assistant and the lad who signs players from FIFA 19 Let's hope they get it right Technically that combination have made one signing and he is our best prospect and top scorer. agree and for some to say that josh sighns players from fifa 19 are silly and disrespectfull

A bit like 'Winter didn't even smile when Schindler's penalty went in' to have a go at the CEO. There are glass half full and glass half empty people (usually me with Town after so long supporting them ), but there does appear to be an awful lot of 'what fucking glass' people on DATM at the moment.

According to Deano's video we won't be appointing anyone until after summer. Hard to disagree with the notion that we can't afford to get it wrong going into this season but it still seems a bit of a strange one. I suppose having not had much luck with the recent appointments it must be tempting to think 'Fuck it, we'll do it ourselves' but from the outside that feels just as risky to me. I heard they flying in an expat from Krakow for the role on a temporary basis. Billing packing his bags already.

Let's see how long Winter survives under the new owner... Like most people, until he finds another job or until his boss finds someone who they think can do a better job. If Winter was doing such a bad job then do you not think multi-millionaire self made business man Dean Hoyle would have replaced him by now? PS: First thing Phil will do now is replace Winter

Not a good look for TV, but then I'm not a CEO of a company that has just increased its turnover by 600% with one-kick of a football. I own up to knowing Julian (Jos) Winter when he was a kid from about 12 years old until he became a professional footballer - when he had hair . He didn't overly smile then either and, from what I remember of his playing days at Town, was never that emotional on the football field. People don't all react the same way to things, I suspect he was both in shock at us wining and thinking about the shed-load of work that was needed to be done.

I know people who’ve worked with him previously and have nothing but good to say. Very straightforward, down to earth bloke.

Still find it a strange decision. can understand dean and phil wanting to be hands on this summer but surely an extra football man would only be beneficial? even if it was made clear to the new man that his focus wasnt this window and he was to have a settling in period. signings always came down to dean to have the final say anyway so im not sure why a new guy couldnt work alongside the board and then gain their trust to implement his vision after that. with first team signings only being a part of the role im sure theres plenty to do still.
hardly a vote of confidence for the new bloke if hes purposely hired after a window! also begs the question would someone want to join us/leave their club just as the season is underway? when theyve just signed their targets at another club/we've spent our brass on a new team that the SD doesnt much fancy
i do trust hoyles judgement, but still dont quite get this one

It'd make sense but I suppose the potential issue with that is if it doesn't go too well again the new guy would be the one taking the pelters on here and Twitter the same as every DoF type we've ever had has, while the better signings are attributed to the manager or whatever. There'd be a danger of them beginning to look under pressure before they've even really started. In an ideal world that wouldn't have to be a consideration but sadly the one we're in right now is pretty far from that! It's like, I can kind of see the line of thinking but I can't help not having a great gut feeling about it. I always trust Deano to do his best and put the club first, that should go without saying, but he can make mistakes the same as any of us (and has always been big enough to admit them in the past). Not much to do but wait and see how it pans out I guess. Hopefully it's a masterstroke.

They'll probably be leaving it to Siewert to pull in a load of young Germans, he'll know that market well, having been a coach for the u-21 team from what I recall. After all, his choices can't possibly be any worse than choosing the likes of Mounie, Depoitre and most of last summer's recruitment, it can only get better. No need for another disaster of a DoF.

We’ve been down since New Year. I hope they would know exactly who we want to get (and second/third choice options) by now. We should also have a fair idea who is going out the door.
Sounds like it will be busy.

I think he'll have a dedicated line straight through to Otium.

If you have a job, how would your boss take it that you were doing work for someone else when they were paying you?
