Think he will be a useful 1st team/squad player in the Championship add some option in our attack and midfield if JS wants us to play an attacking game.

Good or bad, he is one of the few players who can get the crowd’s attention when he has that ball at his feet on the wing. You are just thinking ‘go on, take him on’. Players like that are dangerous. Yeah go on and take him on and see the defender tackle him with ease. Ok mate. Why do you bother?

Took his goal well but other than that was a passenger once again IMO. The news that hes our player and for the bizarre amount we are supposed to have paid for him isn;t anything to celebrate IMO. Weve well and truly had our pants pulled down.
I really hope he comes good but it will take an enormous improvement for that to happen. Not just in ability but in attitude too. The championship is a rough and tough division and this lad will do anything he can to avoid the risk of being hurt. I worry most championship defenders will rub their hands together at how easy it will be to bully him out of games.

He might take to the Championship and his pace will always be an asset. My main concern is that he needs a hell of a lot of onfield coaching. He doesn't seem to know where he should be and he hasn't a clue about what's happening behind his back. He needs a really good and disciplined full back and left sided centre half behind him.

Quick but largely ineffectual He made Championship defenders look like they were playing with a 50kg rucksack on Some need to remember this is the Premier League we're playing in Kachunga looks like he belongs in the Conference when he plays against Premier League opposition. Yet he was more than good enough in the Championship Scott Malone is one of the best defenders in the Championship. Just let that sink in

Everyone was raving about Adama Traore last season in the championship but he's stepped up to the premier league & struggled to make an impact. He's played more minutes than Mbenza but got an identical record of 1 goal & 1 assist. Infact Mbenza has run more distance, has a better pass completion percentage & has been dispossessed far fewer times. So it shows the huge difference between the premier league & the championship, nobody knows how Mbenza will perform next season, he could be a revelation or he could flop, but until we see him perform in that division we have no idea.

Traore has fight ( and is built like a brick shithouse ) Mbenza has no fight in him whatsoever. He was pulling out of challenges today left right and centre- thats in a really high profile game live on the telly around the world. Defenders like Scott Malone might lack the technical ability of top prem defenders but they will see Mbenza as a very soft touch and target him for that. Honestly hes one of the most powderpuff players i can remember seeing. If he doesn;t grow some guts, start to fight and risk taking a knock here and there, then pace or not, he isn;t going to do anything in the championship IMO.

I've made no secret of the fact I'm not a fan of IM. But fair play to him today, he did really, really well. Even before the goal he looked like a completely different player to the one I've seen thus far. He still does some really stupid things which seem to stem from complacency more than lack of talent. One of those that probably needs a rocket up his backside from the manager most days But anyone who says he isn't a footballer haven't got a clue. Will be a good player in the Championship if he's still with us Amazing how we all seem the game differently- I’d be happy to never see him pull on the shirt again! Makes VLP seem like Vinnie Jones.

He was awful for 3/4 of the game. A friend of mine went today for the first time. Got a text after saying he was the one of the laziest and most clueless players he’d seen.
Took his goal well. But he’s going to need a hell of a preseason to make an impact next year

Its a risk that comes with the job for any player but especially those with pace who play out wide. Mbenza pulls out of any challenge, even if hes the favourite to win it. Which ironically is more likely to get him injured.

Scored a goal against Man Utd which apparently makes him the greatest footballer we’ve ever seen. In reality he’s a fucking wage thief who has done absolutely nothing in his half a dozen appearances. If the likes of this waster are here next season then we’ll be going down without a fight again. But I’m sure Jan knows better....

That's what the official premier league stats say which are compiled by OPTA You can't lose a tackle/challenge you don't go in for. Mbenza often doesn't even make a challenge, which probably skews the statistics a bit. He probably only goes in for ones 80/20 in his favour. He certainly often refuses to go in for ones that he may lose, and even those 60/40 in his favour. He may well be brilliant in the Championship - and as a Town fan I hope he is - but he needs to get stuck in more. The Championship is about hard work as much as skill, and we can't afford any shrinking violets.

He doesn’t tackle very often and he’s not highly tactically aware, but that’s not his game. We need to move away from the idea that all attacking players have to get stuck in and concentrate on the clean sheet. It’s plainly obvious what kind of player he is, and I for one can’t wait to see what he can do when he’s not up against established internationals every week, playing for a manager who trusts in his ability.
